Keyshia Cole’s Husband, Daniel Gibson, Releases Statement

Bad news. Friend of the blog Keyshia Cole’s husband, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, was arrested for 2nd degree assault and battery today, TMZ reports. Gibson, 27, turned himself in this morning and was released on bond shortly afterwards.

Gibson, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA team, released a statement to gossip website TMZ acknowledging his arrest. Gibson is accused of punching a man in the face and breaking his jaw at a nightclub in New Orleans during the ESSENCE music Festival on July 8.

According to a report on UK’s Daily Mail website, Gibson punched the man for disrespecting his wife, Keyshia.

“Earlier this month during the Essence Music Festival, I was involved in an incident with other individuals while I was out with my wife,’ the statement said.

“It’s unfortunate that some see opportunity in taking advantage of people who work hard for what they have achieved.”

Gibson added: “Once all the facts of the incident come out, I expect to be fully vindicated.”

@Luvn.. I saw that yesterday. Peep how at first when she just sauid ‘two black kids shot my baby’ it was all over. Now the investigators see gun shot residue on the baby’s dad- one who BLAMED THE BABY’s mom in the first placem they buried the story. I had to search up and down just to find the updated story yesterday…UI believe them yt lying about more than GSR. I think they planned to kill the baby for insurance money, I can’t prove it though.

Crazy thing is, when I read yahoo’s blog about Trayvon, folks (sprites) brought up this case, saying no one really talked about the two black boys that shot the baby. Now look at this shyt……. it all was a damn set up, and even the daughter said that the mother wanted the child dead but why isn’t this shyt all over the media. This sprite trash needs to be exposed
