Beauty is mostly about symmetry right. Symmetrical things appear “beautiful” to us humans..this is kind of scientifically “based” Note the quotes, please.

But yeah, when you reinforce that beauty looks one way by only showcasing one type of beauty eventually your society will evolve to that “standard of beauty”. Its really not rocket science. Thats why I’m always advocating for faces/ppl that look “Black”, not fukking “ethnic or other”. :eyeroll:

Or that something that appeared unhealthy was beautiful either.
Why would society be so easily convinced that any particular “look” was beautiful but not be fooled into thinking something asymetrical or unhealthy was beautiful?

Sure society could do that. And please dont think im talking about internet society. Im talking about since we (humans) started valuing “beauty” its been one type of beauty in the mainstream. Now of course there are places, like Mauritania, where Black and fat is the beauty ideal but how rare is that.

Just lke a rock gets weathered over years by water or whatever..imagine CENTURIES of seeing one type of beauty..eventually that becomes synonymous with what is “beauty”.

For somebody with such high standards, I am not surprised youre not aware of what influences your aesthetic.

My cousin told me that this is true for Jamaica too. They think is you are big that you are wealthy. Not that you are lazy or have a thyroid condition.

Women in every society throught history has liked a certain male physique. Regardless of location or time frame.
The same with men and female physique. That isnt a coincidence or “big bad societal influence.” Its part of the human make up. Just like all mammals have natural visual markers on the opposite sex. Why would humans be any different?
