Lindsey Duke was the talk of the NFL Combines over the summer. No, Lindsey is not a football player; Lindsay was the hot girlfriend of rookie Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles, who received more attention from the media and football fans than he did.
The NY Post Post explains that Bortles split from his longtime girlfriend because she was the “bigger celebrity of the two during NFL Draft coverage in the spring.”
According to the Post, NFL executives were eager to meet Bortles sexy girlfriend — and they told him so to his face. “If we come to town, will she be there for dinner?” Bortles said one NFL exec asked him in a pre-draft meeting.
Bortles was not amused when his coach at Central Florida, George O’Leary, said Lindsey was deserving of “six million Googles.”
Because he’s a man Bortles asked Lindsey to tone down her bikini posting pastime on Instagram. When that didn’t lessen the interest from other men, Bortles asked his girlfriend to take her Instagram private — or shut it down altogether.
Lindsey complied by taking her Instagram private — but it was too late to save their relationship.
Other celebs such as R&B Diva Monica Brown solved the problem of groupies secretly messaging her husband, Miami Heat star Shannon Brown, online by asking him to shut down his social media accounts. Being a good husband, Shannon quickly complied.
It is a well-known fact that social media platforms such as Twitter.com, Facebook.com and Instagram.com have become the new pickup spots online.
Particularly on Instagram and Twitter where women exchange intimate photos with other womens’ men through instant messaging.
Some married men have a wife at home and a secret “wifey” on Twitter or Instagram.
Women who allow their husbands to maintain social media accounts online are asking for trouble at home.
