Actor and philosopher Jaden Smith outed himself this week in front of God, his parents and the love of his life, rapper Tyler the Creator. On Friday Jaden tweeted: "I Think Im In Love With You, I Don't Know I'm Still Figuring It Out But In The Meantime, Happy Birthday," Jaden tweeted to Tyler, whom many also assume is gay or bisexual.
This news comes on the heels of another black gay male outing himself yesterday. 'Empire' star Jussie Smollet, 31, came out of the closet after his appearance on lesbian daytime TV host Ellen Degeneres. The show aired on March 9.
So far, Jaden's parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, have not commented publicly on their son's revelation. It is well known that the Smiths as a family practices Scientology.
Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard's teachings are considered to be homophobic. Hubbard has referred to homosexuals as "sexual perverts" who are "far from normal and extremely dangerous to society."
