The president of the Spokane, Washington chapter of the NAACP reportedly lied about her race on an application — according to an explosive allegation made by her own parents.
The city of Spokane, Washington has launched an investigation into whether Rachel Dolezal lied about being black when she filled out an application for citizen police ombudsman commission.
Dolezal is also a faculty member at Eastern Washington University, where she delivered a lecture on the good hair vs nappy hair debate.
But Dolezal was busted when a newspaper reporter did what the City of Spokane should have done and vetted Dolezal.
On Thursday, Dolezal’s parents — Ruthanne and Lawrence Dolezal — confirmed to the Coeur d’Alene Press that they are Dolezal’s biological parents and they are both white.
Ms. Dolezal’s narcissism and fraud would have been exposed sooner if black people didn’t happily embrace biracial and mixed race people as black. Dolezal is not even biracial or mixed race.
How many other Caucasians are out there perpetrating frauds and passing as black so they can benefit from positions that are normally reserved for black people?
For centuries black people have accepted the Jim Crow anti-micegenation one-drop rule as the truth. The one-drop rule defined black people as anyone who had “one drop” of black blood in them.
This archaic rule came about as a ruse to keep the white race pure during the slavery era.
When are we going to do better and embrace our African heritage while taking pride in the purity of our own race?
