Hillary Clinton Suffers Coughing Fit During Campaign Speech, Sparks Rumors of Poor Health

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton suffered a prolonged coughing fit during her campaign stop in Iowa. The 68-year-old Democratic frontrunner was speaking in West Des Moines, Iowa, when she was suddenly seized with fits of coughing.

The coughing persisted even after Clinton took a sip of water and a cough lozenge. Afterwards, Mrs. Clinton struggled to speak with a raspy, weak voice as she gasped for breath.

“.@HillaryClinton has coughing attack at West Des Moines event, may be unable to finish remarks,” tweeted Amy Chozick of the New York Times.

The coughing spasms renewed rumors of Clinton’s poor health. She was hospitalized in December 2012 after doctors diagnosed her with a blood clot in her brain.

Since then CLinton is reportedly experienced signs of dementia and memory loss. Chronic coughing is one of the signs of dementia.
