Babies usually can’t save a failed relationship, but Tristan Thompson says the birth of his infant daughter, True Thompson, helped him change his cheating ways.
The 27-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers star spoke out about his newborn daughter for the first time since her birth on April 12.
True is Tristan’s first child with sometime partner Khloe Kardashian. The on again/off again couple recently got back together amid allegations that he cheated rampantly throughout Khloe’s pregnancy.
Tristan didn’t address the cheating allegations during his appearance on the “Road Trippin'” podcast on Wednesday, but he did open up about his newborn baby and how she changed him.
“This is the first girl Thompson, female Thompson, so it’s huge,” said the father-of-2, adding that she has green eyes, a “full head of hair” and measured 21 inches long at birth — a little longer than the average newborn baby.
Tristan joked: “Baby True is eating, sleeping, and uh, sh–ing… That’s all they do right now.”
Tristan also shares a 16-month-old son named Prince with his bitter ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, who is very active on social media.
Tristan also revealed that he is taking a different parenting approach with True than he did with his son Prince.
“With a boy, it’s just like, ‘Hey, man. You’ll be alright, man. Stop crying.’ (With True,) it’s like, ‘True, it’s going to be okay… We’re right here. Daddy’s here to feed you.
It’s me, look!’ It’s way different. It’s fun, though.”
As far as baby talk, Tristan said he’s not here for that. “I talk to her like an adult,” he said.
Khloe and Tristan co-parent True at his lakefront home in Ohio… for now.
