Wendy Williams returned to her popular daytime talk show on Tuesday after fracturing her shoulder.
Wendy’s health was the subject of rampant rumors after reruns of her popular daytime talk show were aired on Friday and Monday.
Wendy returned to The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday with her right arm in a sling. She explained that she fractured her right shoulder.
“I did it on Sunday by Monday morning my shoulder was on fire,” shared Williams, who wore her arm in a sling underneath a pink sweater. “There’s no way I could’ve done yesterday’s show, so I was all about the medical care yesterday from one doctor to the other. I’m on the mend, I don’t need an operation.”
Gossip mongers spread rumors that the 54-year-old Diva was deathly ill because she sat in a chair and leaned on a podium throughout her shows last week.
“[Doctors] told me I’m very healthy for a person — after 50,” laughed Williams. “I’m not wearing a hard cast, but I do have a sling and I do have my flower ring on.”
Wendy told her viewers she would complete tapings of her show which will wrap on Friday, before going on hiatus.
“So we only have to work around this for a moment before I just go home,” she added. “That’s all you can do: rest.”
Last year, Wendy told her audience she was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease, an immune system disorder that attacks the cells in the thyroid gland.
Symptoms include fatigue, muscle weakness, weight loss and difficulty sleeping.
