Jaheim Hoagland was once considered a sex symbol to legions of women who created babies while listening to his debut album Ghetto Love in 2001. But nowadays Jaheim has fallen on hard times.

An Instagram user named Gordon Davis reached out to Flyheight.com to say he got the surprise of his life when he used an Uber rideshare app over the weekend.

When his Uber driver pulled up in front of his hotel in Atlanta, Davis was surprised to see 40-year-old R&B crooner Jaheim behind the wheel.

Davis claims that Jaheim told him he was in town for a few days visiting a relative and ran out of money so he decided to drive Uber in order to score enough cash to make it home. Apparently, Jaheim drives Uber regularly and is proud of it. He hopes to get back in the studio to record again but as of now he’s "ubering" as a means for survival.

We reached out to Jaheim and he did confirm his new gig and he also is giving all his fans one free Uber ride. Use Jaheim’s Uber code and get a free ride on him! The promo code is JaheimUE62. (source)

There is no shame in making an honest living! I’ve considered doing Uber for some extra cash but I don’t think Uber would approve my bucket.

  • Tony

I’m proud of him!! And I salute him. He’s not too proud to make an honest living. He should sing to the while driving and have them post it to
Their social media.. land him a new record deal. ????? Listen. I’m just saying.? a lih extra hustle and it may just increase the tips.?

At least he isn't robbing or faking a robbery. I can't knock him for making a living driving Uber for extra cash.

I hate people who put everything and everyone on blast....you riding an uber but blasting a brother for having a honest job....would you rather him go out and rob a liquor store or a bank. At least he didn't let his pride and fame stop him from being human.

Exactly! Be the brokest maddest mfs.. it’s a regular job and if he enjoys it why try to bash a brother. People be so lame on their keyboards or phones. Just miserable

I love Jaheim so much as an artist I would have paid to send him home.

  • Capricornlady

    ???? SAY that SHYT again!!

  • Vegas1989

I collect the cans from the Monster club that we have in our office. And believe me, that money keeps my truck full and my pooch gets his Chewy.com box every 4 and 16 weeks...I have 4 trash bags full of cans that will be walking out the door with me on Friday, Lord willing....I'm not mad at him Ubering….I can't have a second job. It's in my contract....

  • justlooking

Good for you Jaheim, making a honest living.

He is not tricking a woman or selling rocks.

  • sherri2016

My husband and i still play our Jahiem cds every Sunday doing our house cleaning

  • Mielle Downey

If he ain't doing anything wrong I applaud him for making an honest living. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and ain't no shame to that.

  • DroneRivers

I hope he gets back in the studio. He has such a beautiful voice.

  • Fiya

Not everybody want to stay in that nasty hollyweird business. He got out and more than likely, still has his soul intact. Rock on, Jaheim. One of the best performers I ever went to see back in the day :)

  • Vonn

I'm glad pride didn't get in his way. Make that money son!

  • BingBangBoom

Now I'm not knocking him for driving Uber but what the hell happen Jaheim? I own a couple of his CDs and This man has hit after hit. I went to his show like 10 years ago. What do these people do with their money?

  • bemetoo

see what happens when you put that woman first

  • Trace da Ace

Kudos!!! I salute him for doing what he has to do...and is not ashamed of it!!! I love me some Jaheim...for real..such a talented man with a beautiful voice!! God will bless him....you watch!

  • garrisonville

he's really not making music like that anymore. so he's just like anybody else who has bills to pay. i see no issue here.

  • oshh16

    Legal means so.......

  • Topic Influencer

Am I the only one who didnt take this as a negative? Dude said he was shocked as a fan that Jaheim picked him up. He's not broke down and raggedy for using Uber-- the person who alerted folks, he was in town at a hotel himself. Lots of biz travelers use Uber do they not? I just didnt take this as negative like the hoes who outted Geoffrey Owens at Trader Joe's. All taking his pic and what not.

  • Shira Harding-James

    Lol

  • Shira Harding-James

Shame on the “fan” who ousted him
But glad that Jaheim wasn’t ashamed at all!

  • Topic Influencer

I think you can get a car from them. To use. Sounds like what Jaheim did.

    "could it be"????

j/k.... this is shameful (not his line of work, but the fact that this dude is a genuine talent! yet he's not in the studio, but you got all these mumble wrappers clocking studio hours), smh

  • Coy little wink

Tough times make tough people. Get money sir.

  • ShWa

Well he has to do what he has to do, I hope he gets back to singing!

  • Topic Influencer

A lot of them have bad deals. A LOT.

  • Mark mcharm

The fact that most artist get 1 dollar a cd or download that money drys up Quick then you have taxes you really dont see much money recording for record companies that is why they tour so much and now streaming is even worst as far as paying people.

  • DroneRivers

A lot of them don't even see good money because they sign horrible deals. And get stuck.

  • Chaseboogie The Prince

As long as he's not snatching chains and cutting people's faces.... I'm okay with him earning an honest living.

  • Well$$Well$$?

There's no shame in working. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do...

  • WinterIsComing

I’m sure you can. That sounds like an additional cost too. Driving for Uber is just a random thought I have every Saturday while wasting my time watching the ID channel.

  • DeeFromLA

At least he is working. This work shaming nonsense needs to stop.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

THIS! I have a young neighbor who was driving the school bus while trying to get into the police academy. he got all discouraged because they harrassed him out of the academy and he had to go back to driving the school bus. i had to remind him that he had purchased his own home AND paid for two vehicles with that school bus money. he got it when i reminded him, A CHECK IS A CHECK, SIR!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Alextra Ballard

I usta love Jah,as a matta of fact I still lissen to his cd. His ghetto love cd will always be my fav. Inn my opinion Jah was underrated and unappreciated in the music industry. Glad he's doing what he has tew dew. Life goes on

  • LYRICS

If you see him, leave him be! Don't run to sm to tell ppl about someone else's plights, which Jaheim doesn't seem to be looking at it that way! At least this dude wasn't trying to shame him like that lady tried to do to homeboy from The Cosby Show, but yet he didn't have to tell anyone but his bish that he saw Jaheim!

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

I'm right there with you! the singing would make him the most popular driver out there.

  • Coy little wink

Listen. I like money and I like to stay busy. I took off Valentine's day and delivered flowers. Made dough ya heard! And had fun doing it ?

  • WinterIsComing

Love an additional stream of income.

  • WhoKnew

He ain't out chere robbing banks. He's doing an honest day's work. That's a positive thing after all the bad news we typically hear about black men on a daily basis. It's like the news has a segment just for us called "Black People News".

Now we turn to "Black People News". A black man, who is a singer, was seen doing an honest day's work driving for Uber. Wait. What happened to the story on the black man robbing the bank? Get me that story. Okay, here we go. Two black men were falsely arrested for sitting in a Star Bucks. Wait. Why are you giving me all these positive stories on black men? Give me some shyt on them that's going to get me ratings!

You do you, bruh. Good job looking out for you and your fam and doing it the right way by taking a second job.

  • BingBangBoom

So you saying Naughty by Nature's Kaygee got that dudes money.. Smh they be doing my people shady..

  • BingBangBoom

The way they do my people.. My jam is "put that woman first." I literally hear that once a week on my amazon music. Smh

  • Kimocha

You better make that money Jahiem!... I ain't mad at you, BUT you probably shouldn't have offered all your fans a free ride tho... It could get outta hand!... But best of luck to you Sir!

  • AmericanDream

I can see it already , in the name of likes on social media he’s going to become the butt of jokes and subject of memes from people who aren’t markedly better off than him .

Yes...I sometimes don't want to go to turn it in and tell my husband to keep it. It's always over $100.00. I have to make a trip soon. I have a whole truck and car load full.

  • DroneRivers

But just like with Geoffrey Owens from the Cosby Show, what one person might post on social media for jokes and likes could help him in the end.

  • Tlowe89

Agreed. These people with drive the luxury cars and live in large houses but we don’t know all that is owned by the label

  • Renee26

I thought you had to be a resident of the state for at least a year to drive for Uber..
Can't just go state to state transporting folks.

I wonder why he doesn't work a regular job instead

  • Bossy704

He's been down on Instagram. Talking about he didn't have a Grammy. No one cares about that. Then they called him a crackhead because he lost a lot of weight. Men lose muscle as they age. Glad to see him in good spirits!

  • Ni Ni

Nothing wrong with that. Everybody needs a side gig in this day and time.

But i didn't know hou could Uber anywhere. He was visiting that city and could drive just like that.

  • DroneRivers

    Yep, you get a job!

  • KcoolMuziq

No surprise since RnB muziq isn’t selling anymore. But old school RnB tours are. Which surprises that Jaheim isn’t part of them. But I do know why he fell off. Which I won’t discuss here.

Btw: Jahiem is the rare male RnB artist that remarkable voice sounds the closest to Luther Vandross

  • girlyardie

It really is sad tnat it has come down to this, we have got to stop supporting trap music and mumble rappers, even it's thru our kids, most of the time we the ones giving them the money so we still supporting them. Over dudes with music that uplift and feel the soul, I will forever play keep your up by Jahiem. What positive message Cardi b or even Nicki manaj has contribute to, except to encourage our children to act and behave like prostitutes and to glorify material things at any cost, really this is our culture and our life why are we allowing folks that don't care about us to dictate how we live, and our thoughts thru subliminal messages.

  • KcoolMuziq

Luther is Jaheim’s favorite singer. I can definitely hear similarities and he SLAYS a ‘House Is Not A Home” almost better than Luther.

  • Yoni7

LOL Loved his voice to no end. Du-rags kill me.

  • EasyBreezy

I wonder if a lot of artists who really only had 1-2 hits years ago, after the agents & all took their cuts, ended up just getting by. I think a lot of artists just grind out a middle-class living in the long run doing things like 90's compilation concerns and such. I bet only a few people who have a lot of longevity, own their own catalogs, and do side hustles like writing & producing really end up super rich.

There's nothing wrong with having a plan b. As long as Jaheim not out here robbing, raping, molesting & murdering folks. He seems to mind his business.

  • hi-liter

It’s a shame because he is a talented singer and he has some great albums. Jaheim and Donell
Jones are my guys. Love listening to them, ALL their music is ?. Finna listen to both of them today.

  • hi-liter

    https://youtu.be/rEpfuzjHvxU

Oscar Winner Regina King with Jaheim

  • Rayscoty

Robert ( Rkelly) should write him a song..

  • Diva_woman

I’m not mad at him at all for this. He could be laid up on somebody’s auntie’s couch being financially supported but he’s getting out there and hustling doing what he has to do to make ends meet. Respect any man who does that

  • Bashi22

    Is that Melyssa Ford

  • leapyearpisces

My 2 fave songs by Jaheim (and video) - Everytime I think about her, and The Chosen One...love, love, those two and Donnell Jones, I love Life Goes On. Avant is another underrated one. Man late 90's early 2000's were bomb. Everything went down once the Kardashian's and that kiddy-dance rap came on the scene.

  • hi-liter

Man these new R&B dudes Wish they had Jaheim’s catalog of music.

I wanted to say something about Jacquees (the lil nigga that Swear he a sax symbol, lil bitty azz) but I couldn’t think of his name, so I googled King of R&B because I remember him saying it was him......guess who Google say it is.......R Kelly ??????????

  • Whirl

So proud of him for working an honest job with no shame ?? Man oh man so many times I sung my arse off on the treadmill where no body could hear me singing his songs getting in a good work out. I be putt’n all my feelings into it to lol. If that man don’t sound like Teddy Pendagrass... Singing ~just in case...~ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RgEARJpNNBs

  • Whirl
  • Whirl

    Singing ~annnyyyyything I got...~ https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5eMNepa_nkY

  • MNjumpoffacliff

The industry is fickle so good for him supporting himself in the meantime through the lean times. Folks shouldn't shame him and others like someone tried to do a friend of mine because he was catching a bus to work.

  • Whirl

Why isn’t he working the chitlin circuit or whatever they call it nowadays like Genuine

  • R in NYC

Ok cuz he could surely do a casino concert like a lot of these ole skool r and b singers.

  • Whirl

Right. Gurrlll I would be up in that show sanging my arse off I don’t care how many people would be annoyed with my bad singing ya heard lol

  • Whirl

    Sure nuff

  • dru and neil

Screw the studio and just tour! People will pay to hear the old hits, more so than buying new music. Do a small venue tour for goodness sake!

  • Whirl

Yasssss old heads like me wait’n on dem dates to get tickets. Definitely a girls night out!

  • dru and neil

I am wondering the same damn thing! No way would he not sell in cities with a higher concentration of black folks. Throw in another RnB singer, a band, and make it happen.

  • dru and neil

    I’d be there!

  • Malai

    u bringing back memories lol

  • Malai

ayeeeee you got me over here jamming.. i feel like an old lady sayin that lmao

  • Whirl

Gurrllllll yasssss [cough cough] that one who got away but on further reflection years later you glad he got away lololol. But we ain’t gonna talk about that lol. CRAZY how those old songs bring back memories.

  • Whirl

Lol that man sound sooo much like Teddy Pendagrass

  • girlyardie

I don't know if it will help but amma go to youtube to click, like , thumps up and share is videos might even buy a .99 could clouds , tidal or something ,hopefully some $$$$$ will get to him directly , his music got me thru some bad days least I can do

  • Whirl

He back from the times when you could buy a CD and over half the jams BE LIKE THAT! Oh gurl please don’t put up no post on Jaheim when I ain’t got time to bump his jams!

  • Malai

you are so right! I could be wrong but I dont think ive heard anything bad about jaheim in the news...its very wholesome of him to work an honest job..several of my uber drivers said they make a lil over 1,000 a week and I think thats really good bein that the average american dont even have 1,000 in their bank account/savings

  • Parent

Look at young Melissa Ford in that photo with those blue contacts.

  • dru and neil

Jaheim is a great talent, I would love to hear him sing “Diamond in da Ruff” live to this day. He has many hits people love that weren’t even mainstream.

  • Parent

    Yes

  • Parent

    Love this song.

Lights out, sucker punched psyched out,
Caught a love wave, rode it then I wiped out...

  • Michelle

Lots of times these artist are in messed up contracts that they can’t get out of and have no rights to their own music. Singer Jojo fought 8 years to get out of her contract with Blackground so she could release new music or perform her old stuff for profit because they owned her

  • Malai

Aint it?! I swear some songs can take you back to an EXACT moment in time! and im happy the mf gone cuz we dont need no more setbacks #straightahead LOL

  • hi-liter

    Yassssss hunty.

  • TamG

This is odd because 1) I didn’t know he was in Atlanta and 2) I thought I read a few months ago, when Tank was mocking him, that he said he was coming out with new material. I wonder what happened! I so wanted him to come back out and throw it in Tank’s face when his album went platinum lol.

I do wonder how someone with multiple platinum records like Jaheim can be broke. That’s a shame. On the same token, I’ve seen his live show and it left a lot to be desired. He is surprisingly weak on stage (at least in comparison to the other people on the stage that day including AnthonyHamilton I think), so touring might not have been as lucrative for him. He didn’t seem to enjoy performing live when I saw him. But I love his music and I know people would still buy his music even if he didn’t tour.

  • Whirl

Real bummer and that makes me super sad to think that could be what’s going on with him ?. But thx for that tid bit. I could never do the music business even if I could sing.

  • Nita Pie

    I would go see him

  • Whirl

I just can’t handle that please don’t tell me that I do no want to believe it

  • teather

Don't y'all act like you have real sympathy for Jaheim. Rumor had it he was gay and somebody was gonna out him, so he got outta Dodge. Our community is going to learn the hard way. Stop shaming gay men. As long as they are out of the closet and not posing to be hetero, I'm all good. Do your thang! Jaheim was shamed and disappeared.

  • Dick Steel

Too much monkey business in here

  • RaginB

    At least he working, hell

  • KcoolMuziq

Although he had a smooth voice. Sorry Reuben no cigar.

  • Karen Brady

THIS> As long as they are out of the closet and not posing to be hetero,

  • LeeSeeCee

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with this man WORKING! Why do people feel the need to job shame folks? Damn..

  • Karen Brady

    That last part!!

  • Solstice

    I’ve Changed w/Keyshia Cole!! I love this song!! ?

  • Solstice

Yess!! Age ain’t a factor is one of my cuts fr! ???

  • Luv R

He is the definition of a man of resilience. He could be selling drugs, hooked on drugs, pimpin women, laying up with a weak woman, stealing, etc but he is not. He made a decision to not be overcome and to make a means of income. Humility is what I see. I congratulate Jaheim for doing what is (legally) necessary to take care of himself.

  • Whiplash(lacejagger)

I made 300.00 in 2 hours driving for lyft super bowl weekend. When they roll out the weekly bonuses is when you drive for that extra change in your wallet! Gone then Jaheim!

  • T Willis

Oh wow... I brought his last album, this is crazy! I thought Jaheim was more business savvy than this. Such a crazy ruthless industry smdh. Ain’t nothing wrong wit a side hustle until you get your paper up.

  • Sassie

Well all superstars and celebs don't always stay on top forever. Now he's a regular joe like me. Nothing wrong with that....although I'd never drive an Uber or Lyft. Can't have strange people all in my damn car and certainly not fans.

  • Chicagowise

There's nothing wrong with being everyday people, working an everyday job. Prince said it best, "everybody can't be on top."

I don't know why, but this story reminds me of the time when Melba Moore applied for welfare.

  • C Mack

Using that code in the morning for my work commute! Shoutout to Jaheim! I’m a big fan and there is no shame in making honest money.

  • Anunnaki, in A twilight Zone

Jah, call me, so I can make a special day for you. Sandymae when he email to get my number make sure u send me an email. Cause he don't have to driver uber, I got ya babes ???? black love

  • Anunnaki, in A twilight Zone

If they take that dumb chyt off the radio they be playing, and play some gotdam REAL music, Hell even nominate real talent, the chytty music i hear sometines, i be wanting to just throw my whole dam car away, chyt get on my nerves

  • Sacha

Hey ain't no shame in working.

  • Tony

What he did w his money is not my business or concern to be honest. I’m proud of the fact that he isn’t too proud to work a regular job after once being in the public eye.

  • Mister Fantastic

Not mad at a brother working legit, At ALL! More power and blessings to him...

  • Skin Deep Beauty

So what's the problem? This man minding his business.. making and HONEST living and not out here plunging butt for dollars!! Leave him alone.. DAYUM!

  • Capricornlady

    Lemme hold $20 ?

  • TheCatLady

At least he's working and not being a bum. I hope he's able to make a come back.

  • Ghost

?..yes, I forgot about that story! Blast from the past!

  • cristalle1

I respect that he is working man. The music industry is rough and he had some great songs. I HOPE he is able to return to his first love music soon.

  • B.Loveitt

What's wrong with a honest job? Even tho this sounds like a marketing strategy. Let's not dog others who choose to work and not sitting thinking about the next come up and not putting any work into it. IJS

  • B.Loveitt

    !!!AHMEN!!!

  • Chicagowise

    Showing my age.

  • helpme2understand

This is wonderful. He may be tired of that industry life. Do you Jaheim.

  • Capricornlady

you have a memory like mine! My ppl only love my good memory when it benefits them. Otherwise they be like why you bring up old shyt ???

  • Seldomseen

    Love ID channel!

  • WinterIsComing

It’s great! Kind of trains you into being a detective.

  • Chicagowise

    Exactly! LOL! I remember everything!

  • KJBibleonSlavePlantations

May THE MOST HIGH forever bless him!

  • Let them eat cake

    too funny lol!

  • dontgetblocked

Good for him. That album which I love was out nearly 20 years ago. He needs money today.

  • leapyearpisces

Yes she even recreated the whole being on welfare for her "Falling" video. Which is in my top 5 fave songs of all time. I made peace with the fact my Newport smoking days WILL NEVER allow me to hold that note for linger than 20 seconds. LOL.
Good ole Donnie Simpson Video Soul days.

  • Dreamer

Love Jaheim. My mom used to swear she’d leave my dad in a heartbeat if given the opportunity to be with him ?

  • Mona Lisa

Either work or sit at home waiting for shit to happen feeling sorry for himself. Dude has to do what he must to make ends meet.

  • Dreamer

    Never knew that about Melba.

  • Mona Lisa

Umm sis I dont think your his type.?

  • Dreamer

Wow, great insight! Never thought of that.

  • Dreamer

I haven’t had the chance to see him live yet but I would love to! I’ve always loved his catalog of music, especially his first two albums.

  • Dreamer

Love this song!! Jaheim is smooth and has a butter voice.

  • Dreamer

Yesss to them both!! Seems Donell Jones in Chicago about two weekends ago and he still got it ???????

  • Dreamer

    Love Avant too!

  • Dreamer

In Chicago a couple weekends ago V103 had a 90’s kickback concert and it had a lot of artists who fall in that category on the lineup and they KILLED it. Kut Klose comes to mind... their set was ???

  • Dreamer

Loveee her!! She can sang her tail off ???

  • Dreamer

Chile, say that. I was recently let go from a company behind some BS for not bowing down to the powers that be in the way they expected me to. There is no shame in having a side gig to make ends meet at all. In fact, I think it’s admirable.

  • Raquelle Dellaghetto

He's not slanging drugs so a cheque is a cheque!!

  • Chicagowise

I just watched that video and her duet with Freddie Jackson.

  • SemajBeyPhilly

Never heard that. Heard A LOT of stories about Jaheim but never ever heard that.

  • Chicagowise

A lot of people in the business have faced hard times.

  • leapyearpisces

Just a lil' but more...I wanna hold you in my arms forever.....oh man...good times even though I was only like 8 LOL.

  • Reenaface

This ain't the early 2000s anymore and R&B is looking more beige these days. He could be doing so much worse, there ain't nothing with an honest living. Remember, Geoffrey Owens was recently clowned for doing the same thing. We can only imagine how many people in Hollyweird are one step away from eating out of a can of tuna while rummaging through trash bags for their next meal.

  • Lovely517

I don’t see what’s so wrong with driving Uber/Lyft. Personally, I drive Uber on the weekends to help pay some of my bills while I’m in grad school. I still have a full time career. One of my coworkers said that only “trolls” stoop low enough to drive cabs. I just walked away.

  • Dreamer

Right. At the end of the day they’re just normal people like you and me. When they talk about their struggles and life experiences, however, it makes them seem more relatable and reminds us that they are human.

  • Miss K

I work full time and drive for Uber and Lyft. Multiple streams of income are a necessity in these times!!

  • Miss K

Right and St Patrick’s Day is coming up!!!!

  • Blue

Is this meant to shame him? I thought we left that in 2018.

  • Anunnaki, in A twilight Zone

Noooooooo, say it ain't so. Please.."bites nail" wait is cause I'm chocolate or he beats for other side

  • KJBibleonSlavePlantations

Only black people do this type of sh!t to one another--wonder why we opressed!!!!!

  • KJBibleonSlavePlantations

Whyte people if y'all got something to say,Please STFU and give us our gotdam reparation already!!!!

  • JENNYJONES1

AND IF THEY ASS GET FIRED AND BROKE THEY'LL BE FILLING OUT AN APPLICATIONS WITH UBER & LYFT TO MAKE MONEY FOR BILLS AND TO KEEP THEIR CAR FROM THE REPO MAN. LOL!!!.........JENNY JONES!!!

  • JENNYJONES1

I HOPE THIS BACKFIRES ON THE TROLL THAT REPORTED THIS JUST LIKE IT DID FOR THE ASSHOLE THAT TOOK THAT PIC OF JEFFERY FROM THE COSBY SHOW WORKING AT TRADER JOES. MAYBE JAHEIM WILL GET A LOT OF BOOKINGS AFTER THIS........JENNY JONES!!!

  • JENNYJONES1

IT'S BETTER THAN GOING HUNGRY OR BEING HOMELESS........JENNY JONES!!!

  • Marie A. Brooks

I don't care if he sells pots and pans if it makes ends meet. Driving Uber is a good honest living. Gone Jaheim, I still like his music and he's a good artist. You should not ever be surprised at what people do to make ends meet. Remember the person who tried to clown Jeffery Owens the actor. He got acting gigs. Jaheim is going back to the studio to do more music. Proud of him for making a living in addition to doing his music. Why not drive Uber!!! People got to get around anyway!

  • NYTimes#1Bestseller

    No shame in hard work?

  • lilli lilian

Even if someone didn't need money, it seems like driving Uber could be a fun little adventure for a person who's outgoing. The way Uber and Lyft have been promoted/advertised makes it come off as a trendy job. If someone tells me they drive for Uber, I'm like, tell me some stories. It's really a pretty creative and interesting job creation, and I find it really impressive how y'all are able to navigate all across your cities. My direction skills are horrible, even with GPS I get lost for hours and driving is stressful, so.....that's a legit skill as far as I see it.

  • EMILY POST

They promoted Justin Timberlake, Bever and Joe Jonas, and any other person over black people singing R&B in the 2000s. Being a R&B singer in the 2000s... Just Thank God for Uber cause the record companies was giving them no love.

  • leapyearpisces

Hey Chicago! Do you remember this one? You can start it at 1:50 min. in.

    https://youtu.be/dwfqZ3JUsHM

  • WiseGui

Doesn’t he write and produce his own music? How can he be struggling?

Also, in the music industry there are opportunities for side gigs like writing for others or composing music. With all the networks he’s created I would think he’s tapper into that that network.

  • Mona Lisa

    Beats the meats sis.

  • rameesray

    You r Right

  • Peppermint Patty

Exactly or lil whiny boys that wanna break out and rap on a bridge....GTFOHWTBS!!!

  • Peppermint Patty

    Lolollllllllll

  • sunni_daze

Remember the industry is saturated in trash music. Jaheim made real music. Maybe that's why he isn't writing for other artist. i wish him the best.

  • Jeaneen

Fake news, doesn't even make sense.

  • Guess Who

Hey, if he has no skill set besides music and it hasn't panned out for him, UBER is a perfect way to earn a living. He can meet people, give fans a thrill. Hell, could be worse. Some folks think they are too good for "regular" work after they fall completely off.

  • kennedy220

if the fans were buying albums and going to shows he could be on top. but they forget about them when songs aren't on the radio. you have to stop depending on radio as the only music source. obviously this is directed at top 40 listeners only.

  • MSGREENMINUSTHEENVY

Go Jaheim! Good for you for supporting yourself the honest way and not forgetting your dreams of continuing music. There is nothing wrong with proud work and this is a segway to get your face out there and remind people you ain't a has been, you always been.
    All IMO.
    :)

  • Anunnaki, in A twilight Zone

    ?

  • Chicagowise

Surprisingly, I have never heard that song before. The heavy drums and prominent handclaps seem a bit Prince inspired.

  • Guest

Walked away and counted your EXTRA $$$ ???
