Robert and Hope Smith’s generous pledge to pay off the student loan debt for Morehouse College’s entire 2019 graduating class has inspired a jeweler to gift the grads with $240,000 worth of bling.

Sources connected to the billionaire couple tell TMZ that Smith’s philanthropist wife Hope Dworaczyk Smith was contacted by Jadelle Beverly Hills to create a logo for a custom pair of cufflinks for each of the 396 graduates at the all-male school in Atlanta.

According to TMZ, the jewelers plan to make custom cufflinks that includes gold, silver, diamonds, the school name and, the Smith family name.

On Sunday, Robert Smith, who was the commencement speaker, announced his and his wife’s pledge to pay off the student loans for the entire graduating class.

“This is my class, 2019. And my family is making a grant to eliminate their student loans,” Smith said.

The announcement was met with disbelief and shock from the students and faculty at the 135th commencement ceremony.

The pledge is worth $40 million and is the largest single gift in the school’s history.
