A popular Dallas, Texas dentist, who also moonlighted as a rapper, was reportedly shot at his dental practice.
Fans flooded the social media accounts of Dr. Jerrett Rosenborough, DDS, after reports that "a rapper" was shot on Thursday, and was in surgery at Baylor University Medical Center.
Rosenborough was attacked inside his dental practice and was shot as he tried to flee in his Mercedes G-Wagon. In photos uploaded to social media, the luxury vehicle was riddled with bullets.
The graduate of Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry operated the Uptown Dental Studio in Dallas.
Rosenborough, who used the rap moniker "Dr. Rose", regularly posted pictures of his flashy automobiles and expensive jewelry on Instagram.
He was described as a "gentle, knowledgeable dentist who provided a wide variety of procedures. He specialized in permanent diamond-studded grills favored by gangster rappers.
Update: NBCDFW reports that Dr. Rose was treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound and released.
