Meet Our Louis Vuitton Handbag Winner, Keysha Willis
Our lucky Louis Vuitton winner, Keysha Willis, stopped by Lenox Square Mall over the weekend to claim her Louis Vuitton Montorgueil PM handbag. My apologies to Keysha for the runaround this weekend. We initially told her to meet us at Atlantic Station at 2pm. Then we changed the time to 3 and 4, and finally we called Keysha and asked her to meet us at Lenox where we were doing last minute shopping for Alex Gidewon’s ultra private birthday party tonight.
Keysha was a good sport, and she was so happy when she saw her bag! She said, “Thank you! Oh wow! Oh my God, this bag is thousand dollars? This is really nice! I like Keysha. She deserves this bag because she cares about others and puts others first! Bless you Keysha!
Thank you to Prince Williams of ATLPics.net for the pics!

Louis Vuitton Handbag Giveaway Winner! *Updated*
Thank you so much to all of my caring readers who shared their stories of empathy and compassion for those of us who are less fortunate. I received over 100 submissions for my Louis Vuitton handbag giveaway! I wish I could award a LV bag to everyone who entered, but there can only be one winner.
Despite the fact that only one of you will win the bag, just know that you are ALL WINNERS in the hearts of the people and loved ones that you have touched with your kindness and generosity!
The submissions for the Louis Vuitton handbag giveaway were the most enlightening and heartwarming I’ve ever received. Some of the emails broke my heart.
It was difficult to choose just one winner from the many great entries, but I decided to give the handbag to Keysha Willis!
Keysha’s heartwarming story of unselfish compassion for her adopted sons touched my heart, and I hope it touches yours as well! I have included her letter after the break.
Keysha will have 24 hours to claim her prize by emailing sandra @ sandrarose.com! If we don’t hear from Keysha, a new winner will be announced tomorrow.
Thanks again to everyone who entered and may you continue to enrich others through the joy of giving! There will be another giveaway in the coming months, so please check back!
Special thanks to Tavius Elder at Louis Vuitton!
Update: We we were contacted by our winner yesterday. Here’s an excerpt of what she wrote:
It was great reading all of the well wishes from your readers! One of them even sent me a facebook message to tell me I’d won and to hurry up and contact you! LOL!!

Thank you to everyone who entered! We wish we could choose more than one winner from the amazing submissions! The lucky winner will be announced on Friday, July 29, right here on Sandrarose.com! The winner will have 24 hours to claim her prize. If the prize is not claimed, an alternate winner will be chosen.
Congrats to Car Note Payment Contest Winner: Kandrea!
I have a winner for my Sandrarose.com Pays Your Car Note Contest! The lucky winner is loyal reader Kandrea C.! Kandrea’s May 2011 car payment will be paid in the amount of $434.71.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest! If Kandrea doesn’t claim her prize by submitting her PayPal info within 24 hours, the prize will go to the next runner up.
Here is the contest question again:
In light of the fact that Muslim men have 2 or more wives who are obedient, fruitful and multiply; should American wives go back to being submissive if their husbands go back to being providers for their families?
And here is Kandrea’s thoughtful answer:
While there are many women who have no problem with staying at home and being the sole household provider, I believe that women can be submissive to their men without giving up their independence so men can be providers. Women do not have to stay at home to be obedient, fruitful and multiply. In a marriage or relationship, one should be submissive to their partner as a form of respect to the other.
Partners have to be submissive to each other because not one person will be all knowledgeable in one aspect of the relationship. Husbands/fathers should feel obligated to provide for their families because they are the patriarch and foundation. Also this is not the age of “June Cleaver and Donna Reed” where women are supposed to spend their days cooking, cleaning, and joining women leagues. If we are going back to being submissive in the household, we might as well sleep in the same room in twin beds.

Celeb Style: Ciara rocking Air Jordan Retro 9
Singer Ciara just tweeted this pic of herself rocking a pair of Air Jordan Retro 9′s at the Hill Street Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in Atlanta this morning.
Later this afternoon she’s off to the 2nd Annual Sprite Step Off Challenge at the Fox Theater in midtown. The step show starts at 5p.m.
I attended this same event last year at the Atlanta Civic Center. If you recall, controversy raged when the 1st prize of $100,000 in scholarships was awarded to the all-white Epsilon chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha out of Arkansas.
![]()
The white girls killed it at the majority black competition last year. They electrified the crowd with a dazzling step routine that clocked in at just under 9 minutes. But almost immediately after this video hit the ‘nets, accusations of “the fix was in!” began sounding from HBCUs across the country.
Black sorors complained bitterly that MTV (and their sponsor, Coca Cola which distributes Sprite) wanted a step crew winner that was more in line with their targeted demographic.
So what if the white women stole parts of their routines from black step crews? The truth is that the all-black Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha from Indiana University (who came in 2nd last year) should have stepped their game up a notch instead of acting like it was a dance competition.
The Zeta Tau Alpha girls should have been the sole winners because they stayed true to the historical black traditions of intricate stepping, call and response.
Well, to quiet the uproar (and to appease the media who began making inquiries), Coca-Cola announced that due to a “scoring discrepancy,” both the The Zeta Tau Alpha girls (white) and the Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha step crew (black), would be recognized as co-winners.
Naturally the outrage and indignation was split along racial lines, with white college students yelling racism right along with the HBCUs. Coca Cola’s excuses about scoring discrepancies fell on deaf ears.
“Why won’t they let YT be great!!!!!! I swear black people won’t let white people have anything,” was just one of the sampling of comments left on an all-white message board.
Probably due to the 2010 controversy, this year’s competition at the Fox Theater has been scaled down.
Instead of V-103′s Ryan Cameron hosting (as he did last year) — they have someone named DJ Rock-T of the Tavis Smiley Show handling the hosting duties.
Ciara will perform during the competition. Lots of tickets are still available at $20.
PICS: Winners of T.I.’s $400 Toys R Us shopping spree *bumped*
*Originally posted on Dec. 22, 2010 @ 2:22 p.m.
*Last night, 10 lucky members of the Sandrarose.com community and their families went on a $4000 shopping spree at Toys R Us courtesy of T.I., Grand Hustle, Atlantic Records and Sandrarose.com! Everyone had a great time shopping, despite the fact that I was over 40 minutes late bringing the gift cards.
Thankfully, Amir Boyd of Grand Hustle arrived early and he immediately took charge of the situation. He was so organized and professional! Amir had all the winners (and the 2 alternates) identified before I arrived.
I also want to give a shout out to Grand Hustle artists Young Dro (who was great with the kids!), Lil Shun Hendrix, C-Rod, Mac Boney, Grand Hustle CEO Jason Geter (who did a little shopping of his own), the OMG Girlz, Shamra, and everyone else who came out and helped the winners shop for toys!
Special thanks to Ms. Hannah Kang, GM of Grand Hustle, who has blessed the Sandrarose.com community with her kindness and generosity all year long.
And finally, a big THANK YOU to T.I., Grand Hustle and Atlantic Records for selecting Sandrarose.com to host the shopping spree!
Loyal reader Shay1, who won the iPAD, writes:

Updated:
I just found out that Grand Hustle CEO Jason Geter and his artist Young Dro both chipped in to give each of the 2 alternates $400 gift cards! That was so nice of them! (the alternates were there in case a winner didn’t show up). The original plan was to split a $400 gift card with the 2 ladies since all but 1 of my winners showed up to claim their prizes.
Check out the videos of my winners thanking T.I. for the $400 gift cards they each received!
