Police in Kentucky released new details about a 19-year-old woman who was gunned down outside a Louisville apartment complex.

Police received a call of shots fired in the 3000 block of South Clay Street just before 6 p.m. Monday.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Mariah Wilson dead in a parking lot.

A federal judge in Kentucky ordered Rowan County clerk Kim Davis released from jail today. The same judge jailed Davis last week for refusing to issue gay marriages because doing so would conflict with her religious beliefs.

The news comes as GOP presidential hopefuls Mike Huckabee and Ted Cruz were scheduled to visit Davis in jail today during campaign stops in Kentucky.

A Republican federal judge in Kentucky jailed a Rowan County clerk who refused to issue a marriage license to gay couples.

Kim Davis, 50, was jailed on Thursday for contempt of court by a federal judge who said he didn’t believe Davis would comply with his order if she was fined.

Davis told the judge that her supporters were raising funds for her.

A Kentucky man was arrested and charged with the murder of his 4-month-old son after he was seen beating the infant while driving on a highway.

The infant’s mother, Kimberly Chrystie, told police the baby’s father, Daniel Cox, asked if he could take the boy out for a visit Thursday, according to WLKY-TV.

Chrystie told police Cox was gone with their son for 2 hours.
