Blogger Seth Adam Smith, a married man, wrote a blog post about overcoming his own selfishness on his way down the aisle with the Love of his life, Kim. Seth describes a conversation he had with his wise dad who told him point blank that marriage is not for men -- though not in those exact words.
His dad's exact words were:
Marriage isn’t for you. You don’t marry to make yourself happy, you marry to make someone else happy. More than that, your marriage isn’t for yourself, you’re marrying for a family. Not just for the in-laws and all of that nonsense, but for your future children. Who do you want to help you raise them? Who do you want to influence them? Marriage isn’t for you. It’s not about you. Marriage is about the person you married.”
Seth's blog post has caught fire all over the Internet, on social media websites and message boards. It's as if Seth's message of self-sacrifice and consideration for others is a new concept in human behavior.
Personally, I think Seth cheated on Kim, and that's what brought about his great metamorphosis. Seth and Kim are high school sweethearts who met when they were 15. It's likely that Kim knows Seth is a dog -- but she married him anyway, because dogs need Love too.

There was not one, but two star-studded A-list celebrity weddings on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Miami Heat star LeBron James married his high school sweetheart and mother of his two sons Savannah Brinson in San Diego, CA, and singer John Legend tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen in Italy.
"ER" actor Mekhi Phifer tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Reshelet Barnes in an intimate Beverly Hills ceremony attended by family and close friends on Sunday (Mar 31).
Phifer, 38, was overcome with emotion as his bride-to-be made her entrance, a source told E! News. "When she made her entrance into the courtyard, Mekhi was completely overcome with emotion and you could tell she took his breath away," an eyewitness source told E! News. "He had to wipe tears from his eyes for several minutes."
Phifer entered to Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon In The Sky," according to E! News. The 15-minute ceremony included Phifer's son, who walked down the aisle with their Chihuahua.
Actress Malinda Williams divorced Phifer in 2003 after four years of marriage and amid allegations that Phifer beat her.
The actor made his star turn in Spike Lee's "Clockers" and starred as Dr. Greg Pratt on "ER" from 2002 until 2008.

NeNe Leakes met her husband Greg at her place of work, a seedy strip club. Exotic dancers are more proficient at controlling their emotions to avoid the temptations of falling for every man who tosses a dollar their way. That explains why, when real love does come along, their unions tend to withstand the test of time.
Married for 14 years, the Leakes are ready to renew their vows again, In Touch Weekly reports exclusively.
“This time around, we’ll work together as a team more,” NeNe told In Touch.
If you love happy endings, you will be glad to know that actors Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are working on saving their 30-year marriage, PEOPLE magazine reports.
Brandy Norwood, who famously lied about being married to her baby daddy, Robert Smith, now says she never thought of marriage or weddings until she met her current beau, Ryan Press.
Kandi Burruss and her boyfriend Todd Tucker are officially engaged, according to Alwaysalist.com.
“I’m happy and very excited about building a future with Todd,” Burruss told AlwaysAList.com exclusively. “He makes me smile from the inside out!"

In addition to forgetting to tell her producer boyfriend of four years that she was marrying Nick Cannon, it seems Mariah Carey was creeping with yet another one of her producers!
If you recall, producer Mark Sudack quietly dated Mariah for four years, and he thought they would eventually be husband and wife. But Mariah slipped away and married Nick instead! Now here comes another one of Mimi's former producers with a similar tale to tell.
Startling new revelations are coming to light in the form of a tell-all book that's about to hit the shelves:
Mariah Carey wants to quash parts of an explosive tell-all being penned by her former record producer Damion "Damizza" Young, who says he'll bare details of the "intense four-year personal relationship" they shared and "worked diligently to disguise from the world's press." Young tell us the songbird's lawyer Sonya Guardo, who works with powerhouse celebrity attorney Allen Grubman, fired off a letter reminding him of a confidentiality agreement to steer clear of blabbing any sensitive information about Carey in his upcoming book, "Guilty by Association." Guardo didn't get back to us. (Source)
What kind of slut is she and how many producers did she f*ck for tracks? Let me hear Jermaine Dupri got some trim for producing her comeback album.
I'm not feeling this weak track, but Mariah Carey really needs this song to catch fiya because her album, E=MC² is tumbling down the charts at a rapid pace. Plus there's her credibility issue: her fake marriage to Nick Cannon isn't helping her album any.
