Harper Lee and Mary Badham

American novelist Nelle Harper Lee died in her sleep on Friday. She was 89.

Lee wrote only one book, the modern literary classic To Kill a Mockingbird. She never wrote another.

Mary Badham was 10 years old when she met Ms. Lee on the set of the 1962 movie, To Kill a Mockingbird. Badham starred as tomboy Scout Finch. Like Lee, Scout was the daughter of a respected attorney who was committed fighting to racial injustice. They remained friends for 50 years.

Cast of Brotherly Love

The stars turned out Tuesday night for the Atlanta premiere of the comedy film Brotherly Love, starring Keke Palmer, Cory Hardrict, Romeo Miller, Faizon Love, Malik Yoba, Teyana Taylor (in a very minor role), and the very talented Sheneka Adams in a non-speaking role.

The fictional film is about the life of the nation's number one high school basketball player Sergio Taylor (Eric D. Hill, Jr.) as he handles fame while trying to avoid the pitfalls of Philly street life.

Beyonce

Beyonce's remix of her single "Crazy In Love" for the hotly anticipated movie '50 Shades of Grey' was released today. The atrocious remix was produced with disastrous results by Beyonce collaborator Boots, who used synthesizers and a piano solo to craft an unnerving, distorted sound. It is the worst music Beyonce has ever done.

Exclusive - Suge Knight Chats Up With a LocalAs He Waits For His Car At The Car Wash

The streets of Los Angeles are safer now that gangsta rap music executive Suge Knight is back behind bars. Knight, 49, was charged with running over 2 men following an altercation on a movie set in Compton, CA., on Thursday.

One man was pronounced dead. The other man was transported to a LA hospital. His condition is unknown.
