President Donald Trump's lawyer reportedly paid a former porn star $130,000 to keep quiet about a consensual intimate encounter they had in 2006. Trump married his wife Melania Trump in 2005.

A report in Friday's Wall Street Journal claims Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, arranged to pay Stephanie Clifford, aka Stormy Daniels, $130,000 in October 2016 -- one month before the presidential election.

The Journal reports that Trump, 71, and Daniels, 38, met at a celebrity golf tournament in July of 2006. The porn star and the billionaire reportedly had an intimate encounter that was neither recorded nor witnessed by anyone.

Senate candidate Doug Jones admits his campaign sent out racist campaign fliers to black constituents in Alabama. The mailer was intended to motivate black people to vote for Jones rather than his opponent Roy Moore, whose campaign was nearly upended by sexual harassment allegations.

The mailer, which was designed to resemble an Internet meme, featured the text: “Think if a Black man went after high school girls anyone would try to make him a senator?” Under that is a photo of a young black man with a skeptical look on his face.

Sen. Al Franken announced his resignation from the United States Senate on Thursday, Dec. 7. Franken's resignation comes one day after 35 Democratic senators, many of them women, called for him to step down after 7 women accused him of sexual harassment.

The disgraced lawmaker announced he will clean out his desk in the coming weeks. Franken was expected to resign today after an aide released a statement saying the senator had an announcement to make.
