Rapper T.I. is keeping busy in his home studio cranking out tracks for his upcoming CD “Paper Trail”. T.I. is seen here in a photo snapped at his Jonesboro home where he awaits trial on federal gun charges.
T.I. expected to be off of house arrest by this month, but his hopes suffered a setback when his trial originally scheduled for Jan. 3 was rescheduled for next month.
The Bring ‘Em Out star, real name Clifford Harris Jr., was arrested in October (07) while allegedly trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers. He is currently being held on house arrest and faces counts for possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. But the MC’s Thursday hearing at an Atlanta, Georgia, court was postponed by U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman until February 19 – however, it is unknown why the judge ordered the date to be rescheduled.
Harris’ legal team was expected to call for key government evidence obtained during the raid to be dismissed, claiming a search of his vehicle was conducted without “a warrant, consent or probable cause”. (Source)
