From Atlantic Records PR Guru Sydney Margetson:

Hey Sandra,

How are you? I just came across this pic you posted of Larry King carrying a "vintage LV bag." It's actually an AKOO bag that Tip gave to Larry as a gift after his interview on the show on Thursday. Within the bag he also gave him an AKOO sweater and a pair of jeans.

Rapper T.I.'s appearance on CNN's Larry King Live last night shed new light on a man who, in his brief 29 years on earth, has accomplished and experienced more than grown men twice his age.

T.I. thoughtfully explained his recent stint in a federal prison for possessing firepower that even the police don't use. T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., talked about the death of his childhood friend, Philant Johnson, being the force behind the paranoia that increasingly drove him to collect a stash of illegal weapons.

And he mused about the love of his life, his fiancee Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, who he plans to marry next month.

But most impressive was T.I.'s interaction with King. Though decades apart in age, T.I. easily elevated himself to King's level rather than force King to come down to his.

T.I. left an indelible impression on the minds of millions of people who tune into Larry King Live every night, who may not have realized that a thug gangsta rapper can be an intelligent one too.

The following is a glossary of all the big words used by T.I. in his guest appearance on Larry King Live last night.

Glossary of T.I's Big Words

Good for them:

TMZ has learned The Ludacris Foundation has partnered up with Home Depot and Sam's Club to help victims of the Atlanta floods -- which City Hall officials say caused $61 million in damages and wrecked nearly 500 homes.

We spoke to a rep for the foundation, who told us Luda and T.I. are donating $10,000 each to the cause.

The Foundation's rep told us they are planning a large food bank and a gift card giveaway that could happen as soon as Friday.

Yes, I realize there are other actors in the movie, but does it matter? Let's be real, the main reason everyone will be going to the theater is to see T.I., not Chris Brown (who I hear has a tiny part anyway). But doesn't this movie come out in February of 2010? I've heard of advance promo, but this is ridiculous.

Speaking ofd ridiculous, here's the totally Photoshopped movie poster. Hayden Christensen's neck is black. There's a lot of fake images floating around the Internets lately.

Earlier this week we posted a leaked track from a mixtape featuring rap artist T.I. The track titled "That's The Way You Want It" seemed to go hard at the mother of T.I.'s oldest sons, Messiah and Domani. But according to T.I.'s close friend Jason Geter, CEO of T.I.'s record label Grand Hustle, that is not the case.

Jason Geter's Statement:

T.I. Live From Forrest City Facility Mixtape is in no form or fashion affiliated with T.I. or Grand Hustle. T.I. recorded the track "That's The Way You Want It" as a means of release while dealing with a very public child support case. The song was never intended to be released in any way. T.I. loves and respects his kids and would never do anything intentionally to disrespect the mothers of any of his children. Artists often record music for sheer expression that is never meant for the public. T.I. and Grand Hustle regret that this song was leaked and would like to apologize to all parties involved. The other songs on the mixtape are tracks recorded when T.I. was a teenager.

Rapper T.I. totally disses his first baby mama, LaShon Dixon, on this new track titled "That's The Way You Want It" off the mixtape, "T.I. Live From Forest City Correctional Facility". T.I., who is doing time for felony gun possession, rips Lashon a new one in this lyrical beat down.

I guess T.I. still feels some kind of way about Dixon taking him back to court for more child support for his sons Messiah Yamajesty, 9, and Domani Uriah, 8.

On the track, T.I. tells LaShon to get a job, and slays her with the ultimate insult about her weight. Now, the question is will LaShon come back with a baby mama diss track of her own?

I'm in a public tug of war for dough I struggled for,
I owe money for my sons, honey and nothin' more,
Do much more than average for my sons
And you just ignore, in fact, you can get off your ass and work
If you don't wanna be f*cking poor

That's not quite the issue is it?
    It's that we don't f*ck no more,
That's 'sposed to be you who buying houses, picking out decor
That's 'sposed to be you in Bentley's, Fendi and Dior
That's your problem, just accept it,
You and I are never more

    And forever we never will,
Just try your best to deal
I rolled around wit you for years and I regret it still
And well, since you ain't let yourself know,
    You look a mess,
Just let yourself go I guess...

In happier times: Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, left (holding her son Major) and Lashon Dixon, right

Reality TV personality and former Xscape lead singer, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle celebrated her 34th birthday yesterday in Atlanta. Tiny was joined by family and friends at a party hosted by Grand Hustle comedian Lil Duval. Other guests included former band member Kandi Burrus, rapper Rasheeda and Tiny & Toya co-star Antonia Carter.

Even though her baby, rapper T.I. is currently incarcerated, his presence was still felt. T.I. gifted Tiny with a 10-carat diamond ring and a diamond pendant in addition to a Louis Vuitton handbag.

Thanks to Prince Williams of for the pics!

According to an inside source, incarcerated rapper T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., is not among those inmates sickened by a gastrointestinal bug that's going around the Arkansas prison where he's serving a 366-day sentence.

Rumors that T.I was sick spread quickly after it was announced that visits to the federal prison were temporarily suspended until the bug could be contained.

This type of illness occurs frequently inside institutions, schools, college dorms, hospitals, or anywhere that large groups of people congregate.

The illness, known as gastroenteritis or stomach flu, can be caused by food poisoning, parasites, virus or bacteria introduced from the outside -- which is why visits to the prison have been temporarily suspended.

Symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Abdominal pain (cramping)
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Malaise (weakness)
  • Bloody stools

Symptoms usually begin 1-2 days following the introduction of the infection, and may last for up to 10 days. Gastroenteritis is usually not life threatening and some patients recover without treatment. But gastroenteritis can lead to dehydration and death if prolonged diarrhea and vomiting are left untreated.

Treatment includes antibiotics (which are not helpful against a virus), anti-parasitic medications, and medications to relieve symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In some cases, patients may require hospitalization to replace fluids lost (rehydraton therapy).

Rap artist T.I. entered a minimum security federal prison in Arkansas on Tuesday (5/26) to begin serving a 366 day sentence on federal gun charges.

We learned through interviews that T.I., who is commonly referred to as "Tip" by family and close friends, didn't want anyone visiting him while he does his time in prison.

According to friend Bobby Ray as told to the Atlanta tabloid Creative Loafing:

“He doesn’t want anyone to see him in prison. I thought about it, I was definitely going to come by a lot. But he doesn’t even want his kids to see him there. He doesn’t want that image implanted in their heads, of him being in jail. I can kind of understand that.” [link]

But three weeks into his 52-week stretch, T.I. couldn't bare not seeing his baby, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, one more day.

Although T.I. talks on the phone with his children regularly (the smallest ones think he's away at school), he reportedly told Tiny that he missed her terribly.

So yesterday, Tiny and a friend caught a flight to Arkansas where she visited with her man for the first time since his incarceration. The friend wasn't allowed in to visit T.I. because her name wasn't on the approved visitor's list.

Which brings us to those letters you mailed T.I. that were returned unopened. I learned yesterday through a source close to Tiny that unless your name is on an approved list, your mail will not be forwarded to T.I. My bad for not knowing that before I wrote my post giving you his address.

As you know, Tiny and Lil Wayne's ex-wife, Antonia Carter, are set to star in their own reality show which will air later this month on BET. The show will focus mainly on family and Tiny's plans to keep herself busy (and prosperous) while T.I. is incarcerated.

According to an inside source, Tiny's salon -- the one you've read so much about on the blogs, is close to opening officially, but there's still much work to be done. Despite the fact that you will see the salon on her reality show, it isn't open yet.

But the big news is that Tiny is putting the finishing touches on an as yet unnamed girl group whose members will include Tiny's daughter Zonnique Pullins (affectionately known as "Meek"), Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter, 9, and two sisters -- one of whom is the daughter of Silk member Jonathen "John-John" Rasboro.

I'll let you in on a little drama that occurred on the set of the reality show: John's daughter asked him to attend her audition for the group, but John, who has another family, disappointed her by refusing to show up. I hear the little girl was in tears.

In another touching scene, Tiny's mom Dianne Cottle-Pope and her dad Charles Pope renewed their wedding vows. Mr. Pope founded the group The Tams.

Tiny, who produced much of the background vocals you heard on the Xscape recordings, is busy writing age-appropriate music for the girls with her former band member Kiesha Miles. I'll post the group's pic as soon as one becomes available. Some of you may remember that Zonnique was in another group called QT-Possie a few years back. The other member of QT-Possie, Jasmine, is helping with the group's choreography.

Tiny is due to visit T.I. again today before she returns to Atlanta tonight.

I just spoke with a source close to Temeka, who is still in Arkansas visiting T.I. in prison. Tameka said to tell my readers that "anybody can write to Tip." She said there is no pre-approved mailing list. So get your write on! And make sure you put that you're a member of in your letter so he'll know to write you back!

Clifford Harris aka T.I.P. is getting restless while on house arrest awaiting trial on federal gun charges. T.I. spoke to yesterday by phone from his home in Jonesboro, Georgia. Although he doesn't know when his album "Paper Trail" will be released, he's already recorded 50 tracks and is preparing to release a new single, "Let My Beat Pound."

Congratulations to comedian Lil' Duval and his girlfriend Mrs. Lil' Duval who gave birth to a baby girl. Lil' Duval, real name Roland Powell, was a finalist on BET's Coming to the Stage. From there he went on to tour with Cedric the Entertainer and quickly became rapper T.I.P.'s favorite comedian hosting Grand Hustle's Comedy nights at the Uptown Comedy Corner here in Atlanta.

Earlier I told you that American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino's brother would appear on the same show that made his sister a household name. But hold on, who knew Ricco Barrino was signed to Grand Hustle to write hits for T.I.'s roster of talent including Young Dro and Alfamega.

We've all heard rumors that artists were jumping ship from Grand Hustle now that the King of the South was on house arrest and facing serious time. But it looks like T.I.'s label isn't going under after all. Ricco already had a regional hit with his ladies anthem "Bubble Gum". Barrino alongside Grand Hustle producer Keith Mack, has a few more hits up their sleeves for Grand Hustle.

Which begs the question: isn't American Idol supposed to be all about finding unsigned talent?

Thanks to loyal reader Tangela for tip!
