Despite pouring her heart out in a blog post on her official website last week, Australian Open champion Serena Williams now says it wasn’t such a big deal.
Williams says she was shocked at the reaction her blog post received from fans and other blogs. “I didn’t know it would be that big. (So) many people go on my website, which is fantastic. So many hits. It was like, Oh my God,” she said.
Williams said she was in a “melancholy state” when she wrote about a nameless boyfriend who stopped calling her. “I think it got really out of control,” said Williams about the fan reaction.
Williams said she would continue to expose her innermost feelings on her blog including what not to do in relationships and secrets of her recent weight loss. “It’s really interactive and I always try to bare my soul so people can kind of see what kind of person I am and get a better feeling for Serena Williams,” she said.
