Janet Jackson has apparently recuperated from her mystery illness enough to go back on the road, according to a statement released by her tour promoter, Live Nation:
Janet, who has been under her doctor’s care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever”. Her first concert post-recovery will be on Saturday in Uncasville, Conn.
Janet supposedly fell ill during sound check in Montreal last week. She was rushed to a local hospital where she was treated for dehydration and released two hours later.
Jan’s brother Randy reportedly said Janet was diagnosed with Vertigo (dizziness). But we knew better than that. First of all, Vertigo is not a disease, it’s a symptom.
Plus, Randy is now claiming an impostor posted that information on a Michael Jackson fan site and that he’d never talk about his sister’s health on the Internet.
Janet canceled a string of concerts including a show in Atlanta, leading to ridiculous speculation that Janet was pregnant. Janet is much too self-absorbed to be pregnant.
Phoenix, a close friend of the Jackson family, blamed the promoter, Live Nation, for the string of cancellations due to poor ticket sales.
“They are pulling out due to bad ticket sales. Janet might have been one of the greatest pop icons in her time. But Janet Jackson, at 42 years old, does not have the same appeal as in ’89 with ‘Rhythm Nation.’ Other artists took that throne — Ashanti and Beyonce. This is what you call a publicity stunt.” (Source)
