Tyler Perry Studio's Grand Opening is being called the party of the year by those lucky enough to be in attendance tonight.

It was a veritable who's who of Hollywood stars such as Oprah (who brought along Stedman AND Gayle), Will Smith (who came solo), Sidney Poitier, Cicely Tyson and Ruby Dee (who were honored by Perry), Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Barry Bonds, Lynn Whitfield, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, Mary J. Blige (who performed after the sit down dinner), Rockman Dunbar, Jennifer Lewis, Johnny Gill, Kimberly Elise, Tracy Edmonds, L.A. Reid, Melinda Williams and her husband D-Nice, Kirk Franklin, Malik Yoba, Hank Aaron, and so many more!

The studio was described as "amazing!" My source said the studio blew his mind. "This [party] was so elegant and sophisticated and high end. You wouldn't understand how much money he put into this thing!," gushed my source.

"When they get a load of the magnitude of [the studio], people are going to be flocking here and not going to Hollywood to film movies! That's what this man has done! My mouth literally dropped when I went out there and looked. He had fire works going off. You would have thought it was like the World Series! He had lights throughout the woods reflecting on the lake."

As for the Crocs that Perry was rumored to offer female guests in exchange for their stilettos, my source said the ladies were offered "comfortable shoes" to substitute for their heels because there was "a lot of walking" around the 200,000 square foot facility.

My source also said Tyler's rumored, fiancee Taraji P. Henson, was not at the party. But he said Tyler's old flame (the chick pictured above in a photo taken last year) was Tyler's date.

He said the couple were "very close" during the party. "They were holding hands and looking into each other's eyes," said my source.

Um Tyler. Wait a minute, CONGRATS on the beautiful studio!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now back to the main subject at hand. Tyler. It's not gonna work boo boo. YOU'RE GAY. Marrying "the right" woman is NOT gonna change you. I know you want kids. You can have one with with your partner!!! It won't work! Spare yourself, her and your future kids man. You won't be able to keep up! The cravings for men will return!

From a lawyer who's seen (and lived!) a lot,

    Love, Mjoylaw

Im just curious, why does everyone keep saying TP is gay?
Is it just b/c he plays the Madea character? Alot of males have it Martin, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, even Jamie Foxx, and I know all of them cant be gay. I really dont think TP is gay, if he is, oh well. He is doin it real big with his studio. Im glad to see a brother doing well! Regardless of sexual preference.

Sandra it's not over yet....There is still another day to go! I will be there if I'm not too tired....OH BTW Patti Labelle, John Legend and Galdys Knight preformed as well.

  • KaraZ

I think they say Tyler Perry is gay because he has had homosexual relationships in the past, especially during his homeless periods; he adds fuel to the fires since he "reached out to" and shares a "close relationship with" Laveranues Coles who was also molested as a child by a male relative.

It's funny that you mentioned these other men who have played women, because Eddie Murphy was caught with a trannie and Richard Pryor admitted to sex with trannies as well. Time will tell about Jamie Foxx and Martin well he's suffered enough.

  • Anna

I hope Johnny Gill and Tracy Edmonds were not seated together. They were/are both in love with the same man. LOL.
Sandra, didn't you report that Tyler was engaged to the woman who played the cop on "The Division" earlier this week. Did Tyler forget he was engaged and brought a date to his party? Tyler is funny looking, but I appreciate his story. He is laughing at all of us everytime he gets online and looks up all of his monetary/material assets.

  • kwallace577

i appreciate tyler's story too. and i was about to say EXACTLY what # 4 said. r.pryor and eddie murphy both were into that tranny love and jaime foxx is just kinda suspect...idk why he just is. matin is the only one on the list who does not make my gaydar go crazy.

but if t.perry likes men/women who cares we should support a brotha for doing good.

dead @#5 about tracey edmonds and johnny gill.

  • mrsdawn

Thanks for clearing that up. I had never heard that Pryor
had homosexual tendencies. I knew about Eddie and all.
I was just wondering about the TP rumor and why people say that. I dont care if he's gay or not. I dont care if he ever comes out the closet. Some people say its misleading to fans, but I dont agree. I dont think we have the right to know all of people's business celebs or not. Im glad he has made it to level of success that he has. I have enjoyed all of his work. Have great day yall !

  • Kymystry

    GO it BIG T.P. .. I ain't mad ATCHA ...

  • Negrito

I think they say Tyler Perry is gay because he has had homosexual relationships in the past

What the hell are you talking about? where did you get that information from?

Anyway his date is pretty damn hot. She looks east African. Ethiopian, Somalian or Eritrean.

  • Negrito

Apparently she's an Ethiopian model name Gelil Bekele, so I guess I was right about the east african part.

These comments are too funny. On another note I watched "The Game" on Friday and I was so mad at her desperation to keep him that it made me sick, until I saw the end and she realized that the other woman is in deed pregnant, and she shed tears after she closed the door of their/his apt. and the song that started the show also ended it. If I were in her shoes I would keep running. I know it is just a show but oh so real. We want them to be together but this is a day time soap ploy to keep us watching. I am glad that the white woman on the show married to the black man finally is standing her ground. It was so funny to see who the co star is playing her mother. The show was funny on one side and sad on the other. Thanks to someone in the room to remind us to watch it on Friday. I hate when they switch things around in tv land.

  • Mzsuave

Alright now, Tyla.......(just can't believe this relationship) <<<Sandra, can you put that in small text :) Thanks

  • shhhh

    Congrats Tyler Perry!

  • pointhimout

lol. yall are silly as hell. I dont know if he's gay or whatever. Maybe it's just his mannerisms. I was watching 'WDIGM' this weekend and when he was walking up the stairs (scene with his wife after his secretary left his house), I cringed because he twitched up those stairs like no man should. Ugh...

And Will Smith was here; alone? Damn I want some of that BAD. I know he made some Atlanta man happy this weekend. mm mm mm. I'm just glad Jada dont mind sharing him. If more women were like her, we wouldn't have or need DL books, seminars, or anything else.

Come on ladies..share your men. Do it for the community.
Think of it as (him) giving BACK!!

  • Sandra Rose

    pointhimout Says:

And Will Smith was here; alone?

Word is that Jada refused to cross the WGA picket line...

  • whyohwhy

Nah, that's not the reason why, he just is! He needs to stop with this Down Low stuff and just come on out with his 7 foot self.

  • DivineBrown

Any comments on T.P's sexual orientation is pure speculation. Where has he ever said that he was gay or molested? And if he did, there should be a youtube video to prove it!

Geeze...the cost of fame these days is ridiculous! It's bananas to me how people can believe everything they read on the internet!

  • Krysi J

OKAY, Im a little lost about the old flame being his date if he's engaged to Taraji...smells like a rumor being shut down to me. Anyhoo, congrats Tyler, I glad that he was able to shut down his use of "The Man's" studio and build his own.

One time on Oprah, Tyler Perry said he was physically abused by his father but he didn't say it was sexual.
