Britney’s ‘stalker’ says it was all a big misunderstanding

Former American Idol hopeful Miranda Tozier-Robbins, the “fan” who was arrested for stalking singer Britney Spears, now says her arrest was all a big misunderstanding.

But before we get into that — has anyone else noticed that some celebrity stalkers seem to have a connection to American Idol? Wasn’t Paula Abdul’s stalker also an American Idol hopeful? And what does that tell you about people who desperately seek the limelight?

    The 26-year-old said she is nothing more than an aspiring paparazzo. “I’m not a stalker…. What I was doing was paparazzi work preparation,” Tozier-Robbins told E!

    “It was supposed to be like a ‘Paparazzi 101’ documentary type deal,” she told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show.”

    “When I got to the house, I was gonna do, like, you know, a perimeter walk-around … the gate kind of pushed open and I just walked in … at the moment when the bodyguard saw me … I was at a window with a camera trying get in, trying to peer, trying to see what i could get.”
