From WSB TV:

SWAT team members surrounded a house Wednesday in connection with a hit-and-run crash in south Fulton County that killed five people on Easter Sunday. Authorities had been looking for a BMW that they said fled the scene of the fatal head-on collision.

Channel 2 Action News reporter Richard Elliot was at the scene as SWAT team members surrounded the house on Ailey Avenue in south Fulton County and threw several flash-bang hand grenades in the residence. It was not clear if anyone was home.

News Chopper 2 flew over the scene Wednesday and SWAT team members could be seen marching out of the residence shortly before 4 p.m. After the SWAT team exited, detectives entered the home.
In a live feed from News Chopper 2, members of the SWAT team and Police Department surrounded a BMW parked in the driveway. Officials appeared to be inspecting the front of the car.

Robert and Delisia Carter; the couple’s newborn son, Ethan Blake; and Delisia Carter’s 9-year-old daughter, Kayla, died after the family’s Mercedes collided with the BMW on Camp Creek Parkway between Butner and Old Fairburn roads, resulting in a chain-reaction crash involving a Volkswagen. I wish this person, whomever they are, would form a conscience and turn themselves in. Five innocent lives were prematurely taken because of the senseless actions of an idiot. Someone out there knows the owner of this vehicle.

    What a beautiful family ...

What a tragedy. Such a beautiful family may they rest in peace as well as the young lady that was in the second vehicle.

I am literally in tears. So sad. My heart goes out to their family. What a beautiful family.

    I can't.

I hope this hit and run driver gets a life sentence for each life he/she took.

Sandra if you get any updates on how they got caught please post it. It looks as if the car was fixed so I wonder if that's how they got caught.

That's just horrible. I bet the other driver was drinking and that is why they ran. Otherwise it would have just been another tragic accident that he might have gotten a ticket for at most, even with the deaths. Of course being drunk means serious jail time.

Sad just sad. There was also another little girl killed in the Volkswagen and her mother still reminds in critical condition. My prayers are with all of the families involved in this tragic event.

this is just devastating. a very good friend of mine's daughter was killed in the mercedes...her father is still out here and has to mourn the loss of his daughter. i hope they prosecute the person to the fullest extent of the law. they don't deserve to see the light of day!

When I saw this posted before I left work my first thought was as everyones "what a beautiful family". Of course we all are aware that there are many vehicles and lives involved in this tragic event and my heart breaks for everyone. This can happen to anyone driving down the road/highway. In my grief of not knowing anyone involved personally in this I would ask us to comment on why we are blessed. This "Angelic" pic that Sandra has in this post of these "now Angels" souls, reminds me of how short life is and I don't want to seem morbid but hope they did not suffer and my belief is knowing that GOD took this family home to his Paradise. To those in the hospital and to whomever caused this act, I can only pray for all.
