The other day I posted a link where you could download the full House version of Barack Obama’s proposed Universal Health Care Reform bill. After tracking the downloads I noted that only 17 of you downloaded the bill for review. Not 17% — 17 downloads total!
That’s a shame because it provides the bigots with more fuel to call us lazy and ignorant. The joke goes: if you want to hide something from black people, put it in a book.
So for the benefit of those of you who choose to go through life with blinders on, I will shine some light on sections of the bill that I feel will impact our community the most. Please remember that Obama himself has not read the bill, and has never read a bill before he signs it.
Chuck Norris (yes, that Chuck Norris) blogged about a section of the bill (Page 838) that he found particularly disturbing. The provision titled “home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children” would send “experts” into your home to “train” and educate you on child behavior and parenting skills.
While Norris has reason to be concerned about strangers evaluating his parenting skills, the program specifically targets the black community. After all, our community has the highest rate of poverty, out-of-wedlock childbirth and black-on-black crime that can be directly traced back to single-parent homes headed by black women.
On Page 840, the bill specifically targets “communities that are in high need of such services, especially communities with a high proportion of low-income families.” That doesn’t sound like Chuck Norris’ neighborhood to me.
On the one hand, Socialized medicine sounds idealistic, but on the other hand, it’s shaping up to be an Orwellian nightmare that could lead to population control of the black community.
Norris terms these services “discriminatory and even prejudicial stereotype and generalization that has no place in federal government, law or practice,” and he wonders if the “education” will entail religious teachings as well.
Welcome to the New World Order kids! This is the Hope and Change you voted for.
Read more on Chuck Norris’ blog.
“communities that are in high need of such services, especially communities with a high proportion of low-income families.”
Never lied soooo true!! They do need it someone needs to teach those hoodrats how to raise their kids.
And im still undecided about the healthcare bill, I mean it hasn’t passed anyway it might not and then think of alll the time wasted on it..
There is not even a healthcare bill to vote on they are still working on out the details everything “proposed” will not be passed plain and simple.
I read all the time (newspapers, blogs, magazines, books) and I know how to do my own research as well.
Healthcare needs to be reformed in the most effective and efficent way. Long as private ins. is still an option I am good.
I am still waiting on the ppl to provide a plan that are so anti Obama, what would you like to see happen to the system if anything?
The current one is jacked up IMO and needs to be revamped.
I didn’t see the previous post with the link since this damn job gets in the way of my posting ***laced with sarcasm*** but I have downloaded it and will work my way through the over 1000 pages. I will also read the final version…I’m still forming my opinion on this subject. Anywho you can update that number to 18 =)
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!
If Obama doesn’t like the bill that’s online for people to read, then he shouldn’t have put it out there for us to read.
In fact, he should open his damn mouth until he knows what he’s talking about.
Spare us the idiot press conferences.
Oh Lord (too much is going on with me and this subject makes my blood boil), sorry for the mistakes…
I meant to say “he should NOT open his mouth…”
Sandra, I’m with a group that breaks these things (proposed bills) into sections for different people to read and report back with what we read. So I had it previously downloaded. Although I did go onto the link when you had it listed and read a couple of pages that I hadn’t already.
The whole thing stinks.
Yep still waiting on proposals from ppl
Yep, I’m wit u Daisy, everybody can throws stones and bitch about it but I hear no freakin solutions.
SunnyPA/Sandra wat do u propose, cuz I’m sure u agree it needs to b fixed.
Are you serious? These young black mothers do need help and guidance raising their children. Maybe these kids wouldn’t grow up learning to blame the white man for every failure in their life if somebody stepped into their homes and set them straight. We can’t rely on these parents to do it.
Daisy riding hard for that Obama…..thats right gurl stand up for ya president, at least he still has a fan base.
*Thinking of ideas for shirts*
“Clinton’s #1 fan” -front-
“The best president alive, since FDR retired” -back-
“At a time like this, don’t you wish Clinton could be voted in for a US dictatorship?”
*picture of Clinton waving and smiling on the front*
“Don’t you miss the good ol’ days” -back-
hmmmmmm…
@ Idorisca
well the upside to that is, they won’t be blaming the “White man” for long….
Hey family,
I know I’m not a cougar yet, LOL, but I remember when the welfare workers use to go to the ladies’ houses waaayyy back in the day, checking to see if they had MEN living with them…..
Some of these chicken head azz girls out here with babies, and keep on having them, just for the increase in AID (seems like, my cousin is on her 5th or 6th one….yeah, she is a chick chickie) need some sort of counseling or something….
I think they should do this on a case by case basis…..if they get a child in for care with a condition that could be caused by neglect or abuse, then yeah, go up in the home and see what is going on…..
@11
Did you pass history in high school what makes fdr a good president??
*smh*
The economy is turning around. Stocks are up, oil prices are up, home values are increasing and jobs are slowly creeping back onto the market.
Everyone wants you to believe that things are getting worse, but its up to the individual to research what is being said and make their own judgement.
BTW, I was one of the 17 that downloaded the healthcare bill for review.
WOW, that’s crazy. But as I have said before NWO is inevitable, it’s all been written already. B.O. is the pres. now because it is inevitable, just as it is inevitable for the next president to hold office. NWO is scary though.
Say no to WORLD ORDER…….
PROPHETIC….
@ Krysi
How about on front of shirt.
I VOTED FOR OBAMA.
On the back.
I WISH I COULD TAKE IT BACK
Disclaimer: this is all in fun so you Obamanators fall back.
@ 16
I agree NWO has been in the works for over a hundred years. I don’t know what makes people think it isn’t already happening. They moniter everything we do. People like to call it technology. Same way how now you can’t have a television without it being monitered anymore. There really isn’t anything, anyone can do about it….
Either shyt or get off the pot.
Krsyi and you can continue to ride hard for Clinton who did his dirt as well like every other president. They are/have been/can be shady which is why I serve God not man.
I have bones to pick with Prez Obama as well. I have no problem in calling him out when I disagree with him. I am on record as saying I want healthcare access for ALL americans plain and simple this is supposed to be the richest nation so lets act like it. We have money to blow up and re build other countries but not to take care of our own ppl. I dont know if his plan is the right or wrong thing BUT I am willing to HEAR him out.
Ice I am going to pull out my Baracked the vote t shirt this weekend just for you!
My new t shirt will say I voted for Barack and can’t wait to do it again in 2012
man all i can say is that i didnt expect the obama ship to sink this quickly..lmfao..i mean the man`s approval ratings are lower then bush`s at this time of his presidency..go figure !
karma is real..obama spent his time lying just like bush and when all is said and done, the only thing he will be remnbered for was to have been the first minority president
what pisses me off is the fact that black people will never be taken seriously after this “empty suit“ is gone..i mean look at the man`s life…God help us
I think they should do this on a case by case basis…..if they get a child in for care with a condition that could be caused by neglect or abuse, then yeah, go up in the home and see what is going on…..

Its all good until they run up in “YO” house asking questions for no reason, tellin “YOU” how to raise your child. Its also going to send a message to troubled kidz who don’t like discipline that they can threaten their single mother or grandmother guardian that they can call HRS anytime they want to….this will definitely increase the adoption rate Im sure.

Did you pass history in high school what makes fdr a good president??
*hands Charles a t-shirt*
for you sweetie…
-front- “I
Krysi J”
-back- “her comments are stalkworthy”
and for the none FDR supporters I’ve made an adjustment…
-front- “The best president alive”
-back- “since Ab Lincoln died”
Im sure there will be no quarrel with that.
I agree healthcare needs to be fixed ASAP…all this back & forth..glenn beck…sean hannity is only a distraction to keep us from going after the real issue…healthcare is bankrupting people. As far as having people come to the house…..I HATE TO SAY IT…but some people need it…I still cant cosign that Obama..
krysi j on it today
Hey Fly
Lol @ Krysi & Daisy shirts yall crazy.
This shows just how out of touch neo-cons are. They already do this in my state, and they probably do it in others. If you are low income, you get a DSHS coupon. By virtue of having that coupon, they highly encourage you to have a nurse and others come to your house to help you with your children, especially newborns.
This is nothing but class discrimination and nothing more. These people don’t want healthcare reform because they feel it relegates them to a lower rung in society.
This is not about you. This is about the millions upon millions of Americans who are not insured.
We currently have a single payer program in the military and VA. The VA has some of the best healthcare in the country. Some Americans are on Medicaid/Medicare, and they have no problems then, but now they act crazy?
The SELFISHNESS shown is disgusting. Even if you don’t agree with the plan… What next? What are the solutions? Aside from yelling, carrying on and dropping guns at townhalls.
African_Dude,
Please stop drinking the Con-Aid. Bush’s approval ratings were nice and pretty because when he came into office, he didn’t have the chance YET to jack up the SURPLUS that we had. Funny, after he leaves, we have a deficit. As the deficit grew, and the lies came to light, his approval rating dropped.
If Obama had inherited Bill Clinton’s spot, he would be sitting pretty too.
I have my disagreements with him, but I am not foolish enough to go back on my decision. I did not expect the man to sh*t golden eggs, glitter and gumdrops like some folks. Why some people did I will never know…
If you were in office, they’d hate you too.

Im going to leave you and your professor alone babe…what im speaking of is actually on record in the hisory books…. so I ain mad at’cha….regardless, it was all good back then and Clinton is the fondest memory of a president that “I” have, Im not asking you to have one, but NO, i don’t nor will I ever have respect for Bush or Obama….sorry “I serve GOD not man” as well, and being that OBAMA for DAMN sure ain the savior….of ANYTHING, not the economy, not of the black race, not of solar energy I don’t care whose offended by my opinion or my love for Clinton.
Krysi J,
I am not offended by your affinity for Clinton. I have an affinity for the guy myself. Actually, what I mean wasn’t even directed at you because you are speaking on who is a better pres, Clinton or Obama. That’s another discussion lol. I am just tired of misinformation being spread, my God. People’s lives are at stake. Chuck Norris is a charlatan.
Yep that’s what I thought
@Settle I feel ya and co sign!

So if you are only as good as your predecessor, are you all saying George Sr. Was a great president.
Obama just made this statement:
‘UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. It’s the Post Office that’s always having problems’ relating to healthcare (go figure).
That’s what all this shyt is about bailing out government. It’s not about private insurance companies … it’s all about government getting some of the cut. I don’t have a problem if government can deliver like private insurances … but we know their lazy asses can’t.
And, that’s why I didn’t vote for Obama because I don’t want government in my business like that.
So you go on, Daisy, stand in that government line and keep your man (obama) warm cuz you two will be the only ones in it.
OBAMA for DAMN sure ain the savior….of ANYTHING, not the economy, not of the black race, not of solar energy

Why Krysi???
I shouldn’t watch Obama live-time (town hall meeting going on) … I can never figure out what he’s talking about. Just like the post office comment relating to healthcare. He gives me a headache.
I have to wait for translation.
what I mean wasn’t even directed at you because you are speaking on who is a better pres, Clinton or Obama. That’s another discussion lol.

that wasn’t directed at you Seatlle, that was directed at Daisy smart azz *side eyez* I can’t stand her
…im bout to get like Dave Chapelle on her “nicca fukk yo couch nicca”…..”fukk you professor” ….J/K. she’s still my cyber homie….me, Daisy, Fly, Isc….we go thru some shyt on here…. today me and Daisy are at odds and me and Isc are on point…LOL. But thanks for sharing anyway…LOL!
Why Krysi???

@sunny I got what he was saying private vs public very simple also you have NEVER heard me say I was for or against the Presidents plan. I am on record as saying I want everybody to have access the most effective and effiecnent way, as long as I can keep my private ins I was good AND that I am willing to hear the President out once all the kinks have been worked out so you stand corrected
#34 iscream
George Sr. after Reagan must have been a welcome respite and after Dukakis’ incompetent campaign, it’s no wonder the guy won. George Sr. had a lot of promise. That much I remember. But he screwed himself and it was downhill from there.
SunnyPA,
That is common delusion by both Dems and Cons. It hasn’t been about government in decades. This is not about government. This is about taking something back from healthcare companies and big pharma. If Americans believe they have a government/democracy, they’ve been sleeping at the history books…again. We’ve a full fledged corporatocracy. Corporations are everywhere from entertainment to food. They are everywhere. Senators, Dem and Con, take huge handouts from ins. co. like UnitedHealth.
This may not be the best way. Again, I highly believe in single payer. However, the way we have now sucks. I am all for a solution that stops filling the coffers of insurance companies.
It was downhill but people say when Clinton came on board he just eased in because it was already set up for him. (That’s was my interpretation of it) Honetly I’m too young to remember (woo hoo I’m 2 young remember something) the George Sr days. Clinton was the 1st president I was old enough to vote for. & I thought he was a great president. Despite the drama. That mess didn’t ever directly effect me.

THATS RIGHT!! get her Isc!….what ya professor gotta say bout DAT…….I guess ol’ daddy Bush had it easy too, being that he is the MF that started that OIL war, that eventually ended thousands of US lives on US soil…and had to be avenged by his son the idiot…the shyt that got us in this DAMN MESS………….and then here come Obama
wit even more stupid shyt!!!
“Its the end of the world as we know it”
“and I feeeel fiiIIIne”
My Prof worked with Daddy Bush and Clinton and she broke down what they did wrong and right with the economy she could care less about either party she is worried about the economy and money etc.
Presidents get some stuff right and wrong plain and simple they dont get to do everything they want although I am sure they would love to.
I agreed with some of the things they have done other times not so much at the end of the day wether I liked it or not shyt didnt get changed.
YES WE CAN AND YES WE DID
At the end of the day they are going to do what they want to do with whatever goes on in this country…personally I think there should be healtcare reform but this subject shouldn’t of came up right now…we still have a weak economy and are trying to get over that hum(which really hasn’t hapened yet) I just say we need to take on change at a time..the end
I really appreciate you posting my experience while under government care. I want to continue to share & let people know that although it sounds good, its not in your best interest and Obama knows it. Is his kids, wife or are Congress going to be covered under the same plan???
I’ve read all of the comments and I just wanted to respond to those. I don’t think many still are getting it. I posted to a diary to Dailykos.com trying to explain my position for a good debate and to get some good feedback & prove me
wrong but it all got very ugly… People cursing me, reporting my diary and comments as inappropriate because they felt intimidated that I would change people’s minds. If you go to the site, you can clearly see that there were 73 comments posted but most of them were deleted because people HR’d me. These are a bunch of young, privilged white kids who never had government subsidies or never been under government care……so what do they know? They just think Obama is out here trying to save everyone.
People aren’t trying to see the bigger picture or look 3 steps ahead of the game. The only thing they are thinking “free”. NOOOO…….Nothing is freeeeee. We have two wars, about to have another one in Iran, we give over 2 billion dollars to Israel annually and many other countries, we give aid to alot of countries, we have to take care of our soldiers (in which we do a horrible job at already especially when they are in combat….have they
ever received those flak jackets yet or armored protection for the vehicles, yet, that the military supposedly ran out of money???????), we still need to maintain our defense weapons and equipment which are $$. We even FAIL in PUBLIC EDUCATION!! It’s sad how those kids in Sumter, SC go to those shambles of schools called the Corridor of Shame. We’ve all witnessed schools like that everywhere. We’ve all witnessed crisis in the Board of Education when they are out of money so they have sacrifice things like ART, P.E., laboratory tools, athletic uniforms. My school, we didn’t have an auditorium; we all performed or congregated in the cafeteria on a make shift stage. But yet they want to manage our healthcare, now! Give me a break!! I know these things may not mean much to you guys but access to healthcare is too important and valuable to compromise & let the govt dictate what you can & can’t have. It should be between you and your doc. I can foresee a lot of malpractice going on too.
And then everyone keep saying its a personal option, you don’t have to select it. But thing is no one is fighting it other than republicans and insurance companies because they know its going to put them out of business. Employers aren’t fighting it at all because all they can do is come up with some type of loophole of not providing healthcare as a benefit and then all the employees will have no choice but to jump on the govt run healthcare. Private insurance won’t be able to compete in that kind of market and then
they all go out of business. So is the govt. then going to cover every single person when it happens??? I don’t think so. It may end up as rationing to those with highest priority or those who are younger and more productive(young people usually have less maintenance). Older people may get the short end of the stick. There is state care run healthcare in TN (failure), WI (failure), I can go on and on… You would think someone like Obama who is a Harvard grad and such as his staff who are all really smart…..lawyers I might I add….are trained to consider the consequences and risks 4-5 steps ahead of everyone. Do you not think these things haven’t come up?? What is really going on? What are they trying to do to us? It’s no secret that Dems are pro-choice, birth control, condoms, abortion, prison – all these things are no matter how you look at it -POPULATION CONTROL!!!!! So are AIDS, Cancer, drugs, swine flu, bird flue, etc…. If the govt. were really interested in a cure, then don’t you think they would have found one. If they were so concerned with drugs, why not close up the borders and security??? It’s not a secret that people are concerned about the food scarcity and the large # of people adding to global warming… Dems are just less obvious about it while Repubs prefer to send us to war to get killed….Still waiting on those flak jackets and armored protected vehicles???
My mom has history of cancer and she works and get paid at a
minimum. I have a neice with a mental and physical deformation. They are all that I have and I want them to be kicking and screaming as long as possible….
Did you guys just hear about Obama selling us out the drug companies for a $150 million as long as the bill does not bar drug negotiations such as Canadian drugs. The media caught hold to it and now Obama is trying to walk it back. Folks, we’ve been HAD! Obama is no better of a person than BUSH… I feel so sorry for his kids, wife and motherinlaw.
Guys
This is all bull. By allowing them to come to the house is waaaay out of line… Noone has any right to tell anyone parenting skills. That’s why it is a democracy. You guys need to stay up on history and research. For those who are so giddy on it and say that some folks need monitoring, then why don’t you follow up on when World Health Organization went to Africa in the 1970’s way before the AIDS epidemic to provide free healthcare and “treat” them for malaria. And we all know about the Brits, Belgium, France and most European countries who were all so giddy about getting some African land (ie South Africa)….. Guess what happened all of the sudden with some strange coincidence…AIDS started ravaging the population starting early 80’s….oh..but…they blame screwing a monkey….
Don’t believe they hype!!

I really appreciate you posting my experience while under government care.
I THOUGHT THIS POST WAS ABOUT CHUCK NORRIS AND HIS EXPERIENCE?
I think bebe-j might be (and i could be wrong) referring to the post Sandra put up a few days ago about a fan mail from a government employee?? Maybe……. just a guess.
@ iscream,
Bebe-j was the commenter who shared her experience with Sandra yesterday regarding being under govt run healthcare. I commented on the previous healthcare post so I wanted to continue to comment because this is reallllllly important.
That’s me…:)
*slaps self on the forehead*
DUH Iscream you should’ve known that because and I “quote”
“I read your peice and for a change, I have to say I strongly agree with you. I wanted to share my experience of being under government care with you and hopefully if you’re interested, then you share with your readers. Please leave out my name or give an alias.“
so did Sandra allow you to become a member before or after you sent her that letter?
From what I have read so far the visitation part is similar to Title 19 or medicaid (I don’t know what they call it now).
Anyone that receives government assistance- if you become pregnant, they have services available to have someone come into your home, assess your living style, and offer parenting skills to you and your children, and prepare you for your new baby.
The only difference now is it is optional for you to choose that.
If you read some of the stuff in the proposal, it is almost, if not similar to what the government is offering already for low income people.
Does anyone know of any websites that have the actual proposal listed and having discussions on it? I don’t want to download that large file on my computer, but I am interested in reading it.
Iscream,
Isn’t that so irrelevant??? Shouldn’t you be more concerned with whether Obama is telling the truth before or after the health care bill passes?? I mean, really???
@Ice she is doing and teaching and get PAID all at the same time! I wanna clock her $$ when I grow up :yea:
YES!! NWO is finally here!! I was so tired of the OWO….Change is good ‘:-)
