This week, a jury settled 3 multi-million dollar lawsuits in Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade’s favor. The lawsuits, which were all business related, were settled for an undisclosed amount (reportedly around $1 million). Now comes word that yesterday, Wade won another significant court battle: temporary custody of his two sons.
For a judge to award a father custody of his children, the mother must really be a piece of work:
Dwyane Wade now has temporary custody of his two sons, the second significant legal development of the week for the Miami Heat star.
Wade was awarded “physical possession” of the boys Wednesday by a judge in Chicago. The ruling came one day after the 2006 NBA finals MVP settled four civil suits in Miami that were brought by, and against, former business partners and were unrelated to his ongoing divorce and custody battle.
The Chicago court found that an emergency order was merited because Wade’s time for visitation with his children “has been frustrated on an ongoing basis as a result of continual interference” by his estranged wife Siohvaughn. The court cited three instances, one in March and two in May, where Dwyane Wade’s visitation schedules were altered, the last happening when his wife allegedly would not open the gate to her home so the boys could be picked up. You are absolutely right!!! Now that Dwayne’s been awarded custody, it will be even HARDER to get them back. Siovaughn will have undergo parenting classes, psychological evaluations, etc. Well, maybe that’s here in Georgia. I speak from experience because both of my sister’s have had their kids taken away.

These days its not as hard for men (esp those with money) to get full custody of their kids. Just ask rickey smiley, steve harvey and keith sweat to name a few. I also have a friend who has custody of his 2 boys because his ex did not keep to the visitation sched. He said the judge warned his ex she didnt listen so when they went back to court the judge awarded him custody he told the judge that is not what he was asking for or wanted per se he just wanted to be active in his kids lives (they were 3/6 then) judge told him they are yours so he has had custody ever since.
Courts look at who the “best/better” parent is and who can provide the most “stable” home.

The show sucked anyway. I watched like two episodes and found myself questioning why. It was aight in the beginning but it was getting progressively more stupid and ridiculous.
Havent read the comments yet but I really hope I wasn’t the only one who saw this coming a long time ago. If this doesn’t make her wake up, stop playing the woman scorned, and hurry to settle this case without losing another lawyer or further pissing off the judge by acting an ass than I have no sympathy for her.
Say it ain’t so…For some reason I “reason” with Siovaugh. Here’s why: I could only imagine the difficulty of her trying to save her marriage and dealing with his public infidelity all while raising their children alone. Having to deal with their (the kids) questions and explaining the situation where they can understand. Through it all, I don’t think she realized the damage she was causing on herself/situation. I don’t completely consider this losing her children YET, but this may be a time she needs without her children (keep in mind they are with their father) so that she can gather her thoughts. It’s like once he came to Miami their marriage crumbled. And I don’t care what no one says, his ego is ((((THIS BIG)))) now, whereas before he was much more humbled.
