What if you woke up one morning to find that one of the world’s biggest narcissists decided to make you his only friend on Twitter?

That’s the dilemma that Steven Holmes of Coventry, England faced when he woke up one day last week.

The one ‘friend’ that Kanye West is following on Twitter told a reporter that he doesn’t even like the rapper.

“The funny thing is, I’m not his biggest fan,” said Holmes.

The humble 19-year-old found his world turned upside down when Kanye decided to follow him on Twitter.com. Kanye, who does everything for mass affect, made Holmes his only ‘follow’ on Twitter just to prove he could make an unknown kid famous.

But Holmes was so upset about the unwanted attention that he removed his profile picture and all but abandoned his Twitter page, which gained almost 5,000 followers in less than a week.

In his only interview — with the Coventry Telegraph — Holmes said, “Fame has never appealed to me. It’s vacuous.”

He added: “Before this weekend I thought it would be cool to have a celebrity following me on Twitter, but now I think it’s really not worth it.”

In his next- to-last tweet, he wrote: “I won’t be speaking to anybody else, surprisingly not everyone wants to be famous. That’s all I’m saying – peace out x.”
