DISGRACEFUL!
What was going through Jada Pinkett-Smith’s head when she allowed her prepubescent daughter to walk the red carpet at the AMAs in this dreadful outfit last night?!? Is everyone forgetting that this little girl is only 10-years-old? I am appalled at the people who think dressing children like this is cute. No wonder the birth rate among pre-teens and teens is through the roof!
It’s the morning after a big awards show, so you know what that means: if you’re looking for extensive coverage of the tired performances, don’t bother looking on this blog. Every blog in the universe has provided coverage of the American Music Awards.
For instance, Toya has posted most of the performances from last night. Also, my nephews over at ThatGrapeJuice.net has additional coverage for those of you who missed the show.
Loyal reader Marie S. shares my sentiments about these wack awards shows and the lame artists today who don’t have a creative bone in their bodies.
Hey Sandra, I don’t know if u watched the AMA’s last nite but I wish I didn’t. And forgive me because I’m about to rant. But I’m sick of artist like usher, ne-yo and justin bieber copying Michael Jackson’s moves. Justin tried his best to do a man in the mirror like performance along with swagger jacking MJ’s armband. Will. I. Am has even jacked MJ’s armband. And usher and ne-yo always steal MJ’s moves. Theses artist are nothing more then Michael Jackson impersonator’s. Nobody can find their own way without biting MJ’s style. And twitter was going off last nite about it.
I usually refrain from scrutinizing kids but this is one situation where I’ll make an exception.
I understand her parents want her to express herself & be who she wants to be but this is a bit much. No way in hell did this little girl put this on and say yes I wanna wear this? And even so, Jada should have snatched that off her quicker than a wig at a Bad Girls Reunion. To let your child go out looking ridiculous is shameful.

I agree with, I can’t tell Usher and Ne-yo apart because they both have the same moves. I remember back in the day when you couldn’t wait for the AMA to come on, that was when we had real singer!

I thought the award show was not good either! I couldn’t wait to watch the atl housewives,that was more entertaining than that hot mess. Everyone was off key and sounded terrible! Rhianna and Ne-Yo, did great that was it! The fashions were not good either! lol.
Word is that Will and Jada are purposely trying to make Willow appear as “Tinkerbell” to ensure she receives a part in an upcoming Disney movie.

Sandra, I think you should not rag on kids the way you do. I understand she is in the limelight and all but I don’t think you should be adding to the bullying online. This is a 10 yr old girl as you keep reminding people, then why don’t you just not be the bully on the playground!

plus there were other things to watch like RHOA, and women’s college volleyball. they finally showed some hbcu’s. i died when i heard “No Hands” during an intermission at the volleyball game
I don’t think it’s so much inappropriate as it is ugly as f*ck! I mean, she’s wearing a short set, that’s covering her top portion completely and it’s long sleeve.
It’s UGLY, but that was the goal – attention. I’ve been saying it for over a year (before she had an album) “Willow has a stylist and they’re grooming her for SOMETHING) at the time I thought it was modeling.

Whateva on so many levels. Other than those ridiculous boots and a poor fit in the crotch area, what is wrong or differant from her usual with Willow’s outfit? Furthermore, Usher and Ne-Yo are extremely talented artists who have been influenced by Michael Jackson. When did that become a bad thing? Now Justin Beiber is manufactured and not very talented like so many artists today, but I think Mike would still be flattered that he tried to pay homage to him. I personally didn’t watch the awards show as it was 4th on my list of things to watch last night, losing out to Mike Vick and RHOA. I gotta catch Tasia on the rerun.

I don’t personally like the outfit…like I don’t want to wear it but I understand her style. She’s an entertainer and is setting trends and what I REALLY like is that her outfits are NEVER hoochieish (yeah I know it’s not a word…bite me! LOL) and I think she sets a really good example for our young girls.
