(Shug, Celie and Mister in the Color Purple) Mind you,I live in Minnesota so I had to get a plane ticket, rental car and hotel room because his studio is in Atlanta. When I got down there, the studio was dark, nobody in the office nor was his asst answering any of the phone numbers I had. I was there for four days and NOTHING.. When I finally got his assistant on the phone he told me wasn’t no refunds. If I didnt want to come back, Derek would come to me but I had to pay for travel and transport of the stylists, assistans and all that. OR I could reschedule with the understanding that Mr Blanks celebrity clients or contracts where he was on retainer took precedent.

I eventually got the momeyback butit wasn’t easy. And no,I never got my picture.
