Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Benzino, 48, was reportedly shot “multiple times” while leaving his mother’s funeral in Boston, MA today, according to Allhiphop.com.
A suspect is in custody and will be arraigned Monday on attempted murder and weapon charges.
Benzino, whose real name is Raymond Scott, is pictured above in his hospital room (thanks @Felicia7997). The photo was uploaded to Instagram by Benzino’s co-star Stevie J.
Rapper, magazine publisher and reality TV star Benzino was reportedly [shot] in Boston, MA while attending the funeral of his mother.
Days ago, Benzino [announced] the passing of his mother via his Twitter account. Today, he attended her funeral service where local police say he was targeted during the procession. Source
Update: Benzino is reportedly in critical condition at a Boston hospital. There are numerous reports on Twitter.com that the shooter is Gai Scott, Benzino’s nephew.

I just updated the post with a photo of Benzino in a hospital room. They said he’s in intensive care. He doesn’t look like he’s in critical condition. I see the nurse’s chair next to his bed. So maybe he is in critical condition.
He’s in stable condition. Probably just a flesh wound. I wonder if Mona had cameras rolling at the funeral?

After analyzing the photos I have concluded that Benzino has a flesh wound in one arm, not multiple gunshot wounds like TMZ claimed. I hope this wasn’t another one of Mona’s scripted scenes.

IDK what could have happened to warrant you being shot by a family member at your mother’s funeral…smh. There is absolutely no respect for ANYTHING anymore. When you pull out a gun and start shooting in a funeral procession you are putting several lives in danger..and if you didn’t have respect for your uncle…how about allowing your grandmother to be buried in peace. This ignorance has happened at funerals of people who were gang or drug affiliated. Sandra you have spent time to help people understand what love, narcissism and various medical conditions are. Perhaps on a slow news day, if you don’t mind, reminding people what respect, common courtesy, morality and what qualities they should look for in a mate. Yes, these are common sense values that should have been taught by their loved ones but the lack is obvious. Many of my family members skipped out on a relative’s funeral this weekend to avoid being harmed by ignorance.

@nhere I was actually meaning the bandage arm being on opposite sides and the sling. I believe unless something happened within the family that caused a death then family should be especially closer during that time.
@spicykay I totally glazed over the bandage, that’s ridiculous. The family does normally come together in those times. But it’s sad when a good majority of the family couldn’t be there for one another due to word on the street, and person loss their life due to a certain lifestyle. You want to be there for your people, no one wants to risk their life in the process.

Thank you, ITA!!! I just watched the “Unsung Hollywood” on Dick Gregory and what he did in his fight for our civil rights. Now the white agenda is using these “reality” shows to show us as less than (when did it become OK for grown women to have fist fights on TV and get accolades for it??) made me sad as heyl!!

@SpicyKay…GOOD detail eye. I too went back to look at pictures and it appears the bandage and sling have switched arms….Now I don’t know what to say about this…It appears that the shots and arrest were REAL…but I’m beginning to wonder about the extent of these injuries???!!

At first I was very upset but then to the life of me I couldn’t understand why Stevie-J was allowed in the ICU room (usually it’s immediate family only) and why was he taking pics and posting them on social media??? I read where he was in critical condition but it doesn’t look that way to me. I pray this is not a tv stunt… I’m still sorry for the loss of his mother though
