CBS News reports a surprising new twist in the case of Tammy Meyers, the Las Vegas mom who was gunned down following a road rage incident on Thursday.
According to CBS News, Meyers, 44, was shot by an unknown assailant after she drove home and picked up her gun toting son, Brandon Meyers, and the two of them drove around the neighborhood for 5 to 10 minutes looking for the men she had a verbal altercation with earlier.
Las Vegas police initially said 3 men followed Meyers and her 15-year-old daughter home after she nearly collided with the suspect’s car.
In the original version of the story, Meyers arrived home and instructed her daughter to run inside and get help. Police originally said Meyers’ son Matthew came out of the house with his gun blazing.
In the new, revised version of the tragic incident, police Lt. Ray Steiber said Meyers was driving slowly and impeding traffic.
When the suspect’s vehicle sped around them, Meyers’ daughter reached across and honked the car horn at the passing vehicle.
Despite earlier media reports, Steiber said the suspects did not follow Meyers and her daughter home.
Meyers arrived home and picked up her son Brandon and his gun and they went looking for the men to settle a score.
“Mrs. Meyers is scared, but she’s upset,” said Steiber. He added that mother and son went looking for the men “so they can find who frightened them on the roadway.”
“I would never say that anybody went looking for trouble,” Steiber said, in response to media questions about Meyers’ intent. He said Meyers and Brandon eventually found the men they were looking for. But upon returning home, a gray or silver sedan pulled up to the curb and someone inside the car shot Meyers multiple times. She died two days later, on Valentine’s Day, after she was taken off life support.
“Unfortunately, I can’t ask Tammy what was in her mind at the time of her actions,” Steiber told CBS affiliate KLAS-TV. “What I can say is this, that at this point in time, Tammy is a victim, okay? This family right now is in mourning. They are very distraught over what has occurred. It’s our job and it’s our obligation as a community and a law enforcement organization to ensure that everyone is safe regardless of what our personal opinions are on certain people’s actions.”
Meanwhile, the manhunt continues for the 3 suspects involved in Meyers’ murder.
Witnesses described the shooter as a white male, approximately 25 years old, 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He had hazel or blue eyes and a dirty blond spiky haircut.
Las Vegas police urge anyone with information to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Violent Crimes Section at 702-828-5634 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

WHALE…I had a hunch there was more to the story. again, not justifying her being shot and killed; BUT YT women have a superiority complex and an “how dare you” mentality when anyone calls them on their shyt. she should have scolded her daughter for blowing the horn and I believe she was driving slowly (impeding the flow of traffic) to further aggravate the driver behind her which is why he swung out and went around her. rather than do the right thin and go home, this chick took it upon herself to go get her hotheaded son and HUNT DOWN the other driver and let him know she didn’t appreciate him speeding around her – the nerve, I tell ya.
it’s sad her life ended over something so stupid, and rather than paint her as some saint who did absolutely nothing wrong in this situation, that father needs to sit his kids down and explain to them that the world does not revolve around them, and lots of people have guns too. dumbasses!

She finally goes into the drive thru of the breakfast place, but not before flippin me off. And she was a spryte. It took everything I had not to curse her without using a lick of profanity.
Seaux then, I am less than 5 minutes from the job, and there is a signal light I have to pass. Seaux when the light turned green, the left protected arrow comes on. as I am in the left hand lane, that means I can geaux, right? Seaux I thought, as did the car in front of me. As they proceeded to turn left, the car on the opposite side turned right, and almost hit the car in front of me. Seaux they stopped and let the car in front of me geaux. Now mind you, the left arrow is still on, seaux I slowly proceed ro feaux. He sees me turning and he veers out in feont of me. I”m like, Is he really serious? I made it to work but for the grace of God.

Those stories are how many of our ancestors were forced into this damn country, so everytime they make a movie about it I’m watching it..In a way, it makes me feel more connected to them. I work at a banquet hall here in Chicago. I’m pretty trying to sell our venue to the brides or whoever wants to use our facilities. They get 
when they realize they have to use our cater. They usually bring their own event planner. Thank God. But if they ask for suggestions on colors or set up, I’m here for that too. But I’m mainly administrative right now cause I just started with the company.
I don’t like those movies either. But then again I hate scary movies so it makes sense

I am present for Book of Negroes, its a really good miniseries.
All of my older nieces and nephews know about the slave game. I would babysit their butts and but on Roots all 5 VHS. We have family cookouts and they will start rolling talking about me and the Roots tape I had them watch. The lesson in this is that they remember that ish now. Kunta is just like family to us. Now I really like the debate when they get worked up and start talking about how they wouldn’t have been a slave back then. It be crazy, but they know their history.
