NBA Star’s Baby Mama Wants $12K a Month in Child Support

NBA star Lance Stephenson’s baby mama dragged him into Brooklyn Family Court on Thursday. Feby Torres, 24, is seeking a substantial raise on her monthly child support.

Torres is the mother of Stephenson’s 4-year-old daughter and 17-month-old son. She is seeking $12,000 a month in child support and other reasonable expenses.

Stephenson, also 24, earned $9 million in salary last year and he will earn $9 million this NBA season.

Feby told a judge she needed the increase in child support to move her family out of the slums of Chauncey St. in Bedford Stuyvesant.

Famed attorney Raoul Felder described the war zone in Beford Stuyvesant where Feby and her children are forced to duck bullets.

“There is a safety issue here, there’s gun shots heard at night,” said Felder.

Her reasonable expenses include $3,000 a month for the children to attend a posh child care center, $1000 a month for groceries, and cash to furnish her new home.

I agree with if he has the money to pay for the child to be moved into a better neighborhood, go to a better school and the money for food, clothing and activities, that should all no matter how much he makes arguably stop at around 6000 a month. The furniture fee? Perhaps a one time fee for the child’s room and possibly any other room he will access, but the money should be for the child’s purpose and the child alone, the extra 6k a month is going to the mother for what? That is why if these entertainers or business men were smart they would skip the condom and get a vasectomy but before that pay to bottle their sperm in a bank so when they are ready to have a child they are actually able to be around for they can be apart of that conversation.

But if the Judge decides not to follow the precentage guidelines then her payout would be less..
