Sheree Whitfield Sues Insurance Company Over Unfinished Mansion

In 2011, Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Sheree Whitfield began construction on her dream home, the fittingly named Chateau Sheree.

Whitfield can’t move her belongings into the 15,000 sq. ft. mansion off Mt. Paran Road in SW Atlanta because of construction delays due to structural problems, a water leak and money issues.

Curbed Atlanta reports Whitfield is suing her insurance company for $279,940 due to faulty repairs on a pipe that burst during the harsh winter of 2014.

Curbed Atlanta — Since construction began, things have been continually delayed by obstacles — both financial and construction-related. The new lawsuit, and biggest delays, were allegedly caused by a burst water pipe back during the harsh winter of 2014, which sent H20 cascading from the second-floor balconies of the home. Unsatisfied with insurance compensation from the event, and recently sued by her contractor for $23,000 in unpaid balances, Whitfield is nonetheless hoping to wrap up her “Chateau Sheree” and pocket a chunk of change in the process.

Chateau Sheree is beautiful. Folks can say what they will about Sheree and her mansion, but that is going to be an amazing home when it’s finished.

I remember seeing a copy of the deed for the land. It was in her mother’s name, which is smart, because Sheree was dealing with lawsuits and seeking CS arrears from Bob. I don’t believe she completed the house in a year or so because she was trying to get her creditors off of her back. Gotta satisfy those liens and judgments so they don’t come after her and attempt to seize her house like they did her Aston Martin that she never should’ve paid cash for.
