Former NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has lost his Broward County, Florida mansion to foreclosure.
TheJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports that Johnson will be evicted from of his home next month.
A florida judge ordered the property to be sold off at public auction after Johnson failed to show up for a court hearing.
The custom home (which featured a shark tank in the living room) will hit the auction block on April 15.
The Jasmine Brand — Last year, Chad was sued by the Long Lake Ranches West Homeowners Association in Broward County, Florida Court. They accused the former NFL star of owing them over $3,500 in fees and costs related to his home. The association demanded the court allow them to foreclose on the property and sell it off at auction to get the money owed from the sale off the home.
The suit demanded the court allow them to evict Johnson out of his home. They also wanted to sell the mansion at public auction.
Johnson purchased the Davie, Florida mansion back in 2005 for $1,365,000 and it was also the scene of his infamous domestic violence arrest with his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.
Back in December, the home owners association filed a motion for default judgement due to Chad blowing off the case for several months despite being served with the legal papers.
