The rap artist known as Shawty Lo died Wednesday morning in a tragic car accident on highway 285. He was 40.
Channel 2 Action News confirmed the rapper whose real name is Carlos Walker died in a single car accident in South Fulton County around 2:20 a.m.
WSB-TV reports Walker’s Audi lost control and flipped over a guard rail, hit several trees and caught fire at the Cascade Road exit.
The police say Walker was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Two female passengers in the car were injured and taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The rapper’s manager confirmed the news in a tweet on Shawty Lo’s Twitter account Wednesday morning.
He leaves behind at least 11 children by several women including rapper Jai Jai.
