R&B singer Trey Songz was arrested and charged with destruction of property at a Detroit concert on Wednesday. The emotional singer, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, was on the bill with other stars at the fourth annual Big Show at the Joe Louis Arena.
The concert, which is sponsored by FM 98 WJLB and Channel 955, took a weird turn when organizers informed Neverson his time was up around 11:30 pm.
Neverson, who wore black skinny jeans and a black tank top, told the audience “I’m going the f*ck crazy” if his mic was cut off.
After his mic was cut off and the lights were dimmed, the overly sensitive 32-year-old singer went ballistic. He tore up the stage, throwing music instruments and jumping into the audience. One of the objects hit a police sergeant.
Off-duty uniformed police officers working security at the event took Neverson into custody and charged him with destruction of property and resisting arrest.
He is in jail awaiting a bond hearing.
