British actor Idris Elba sent his female fans into a frenzy when he offered them an opportunity to be his Valentine.

The hunky actor announced a contest in conjunction with fundraising website Omaze.com to offer one lucky female fan the opportunity to be his Valentine and to meet with him personally for drinks and dinner.

In a video uploaded to Facebook.com, Elba sits in a well-appointed hotel room, wearing a sharp looking tailored suit. The 44-year-old “Luther” star looks good enough to eat — with just a hint of salt and pepper grey in his beard.

Idris is seen sitting at a table beside an empty chair. On the table sits two glasses of Champagne and next to him is a vase of flowers. Jazz piano plays softly in the background.

“Hey there, Idris Elba here, and I’d like you to be my Valentine,” he says seductively in a thick British accent, “That’s right love, just you and me, no-one else around, just us. All you have to do is go to omaze.com/idris. See that chair? That’s for you. And we’ll get things started off with cocktails or perhaps Champagne.”

The 6′ 3″ heartthrob continues: “And once we’re feeling comfortable, we can order whatever your heart desires. Maybe some truffles, perhaps some steak. Pepper soup and Fufu. That’s an African dish, and you pound the yams. And you know what? I’ll let you pound my yams.”

The two-time divorcee explains that fans must donate $10 to be eligible to win a date with him. The more you donate, the more times you will be entered in the draw.

The proceeds will go to benefit the charity W.E. Can Lead, which helps empower and educate girls in Africa.

Idris enticed his fans further, saying, “And for dessert you can have whatever you want and I mean whatever you want. So, will you be my Valentine? Please sign up. I want to see you on date night.”
