Tyrese Gibson‘s new wife is a highly educated businesswoman with a background in social work. According to Instagram blog @Fameolousent_, Samantha Lee Schwalenberg is a New Jersey native who earned her Master’s degree in social work at the University of Georgia in Athens.
Schwalenberg, who once competed in the Miss Latin American beauty pageant, currently works for the Division of Family and Children Services in GA. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony on Valentine’s Day.
According to Straightfromthea.com, Schwalenberg’s mother is Hispanic and her father is Caucasian. She also has Jamaican ancestry.

Sources close to the couple — who secretly tied the knot on Valentine’s Day — say they met after Tyrese posted an open letter in 2015 to his “wife of the future.” Samantha filled that slot after they met through mutual friends.
Haters went after Tyrese for referring to Samantha as his “black queen.” Not that it matters, but her heritage is Ecuadorian, Jamaican … and African-American.
