A Florida woman was arrested Tuesday after authorities learned her 3-year-old child was sired by a boy who was only 11 when he impregnated the woman.
Marissa Mowry was 22-years-old when she met the unidentified boy in 2014. She maintained a sexual relationship with the boy that ended this year. The boy is now 14.
Hillsbourough County Sheriff’s Office received a tip about Mowry and the father of her toddler. They arrested her after verifying her child was indeed the product of an illegal relationship with an underage boy.
Officials placed Mowry’s 3-year-old child in the hands of a “responsible adult” while police continue to investigate, WFTS reported.
She is being held without bail at the county jail in Hillsborough.
