Rapper Gucci Mane teamed up with troubled musician Chris Brown to send a message to fake ballers on “Tone It Down”. Gucci dropped the track on Tuesday night, weeks after releasing his mixtape Droptopwop.
“Tone that sh-t down. Tell me who can ball like this?” Brown sings on the hook, while Gucci takes a swipe at young upstart rappers such as Migos and Li’l Yachty, who spent their entire record label advance on jewelry: “Hold up, lil homie tone it down ‘Cause the jewelry that you rockin’ is for kids, I’m a grown up.”
