Kanye West fired a subliminal salvo at his former mentor Jay-Z for taunting him on a track on his 13th studio album, 4:44, which dropped last week. Kanye invited his G.O.O.D. Music artist 2 Chainz to his bel Air estate to have BBQ with his family on Sunday.
Kanye, 40, posed for a photo with his wife Kim Kardashian-West and their 2 children, daughter North West and son Saint West, and the 39-year-old Atlanta rapper and his family.
In the caption of another photo of Kanye, 2 Chainz and unemployed music industry veteran L.A. Reid, 2 Chainz wrote: “Real friends.”
On the single “Kill Jay Z,” the aging mogul called Kanye “insane” and suggested he and Kanye had beef over $20 million Jigga loaned Kanye.

I know people backstab you, I feel bad too
But this fuck everybody attitude ain’t natural
But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe
But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye
You gave him 20 million without thinkin’
He gave you 20 minutes on stage
Fuck was he thinkin’?
‘Fuck wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’
But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane
Last month, Kanye cut ties with Jay-Z’s ailing Tidal music streaming service amid a $3 million contract dispute.
Before his mental breakdown last year, Kanye went on a series of rants about Jay-Z not calling him after Kim’s robbery in Paris.
“Don’t call me, after [Kim’s] robbery, and say ‘How you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feeling? Come by the house,” Kanye said during a concert. “Bring the kids by the house, like we brothers. Our kids ain’t never even played together.” At another concert, Kanye said, “Jay Z—call me, bro. You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Please call me. Talk to me like a man.”
