Cardi B

Rapper Iggy Azalea took to Twitter.com to praise fellow one-hit wonder rapper Cardi B after she became the first female rapper to race into Billboard’s Top 10 since the Australian did it in 2014.

Cardi B’s airhead braggadocios track “Bodak Yellow” climbed into the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 this week, giving the up-and-coming rapper her only hit song to date. “Bodak Yellow” lowers the bar for hip hop music even further than Azalea did.

Despite her dull flow over a monotonous piano note, the track racked up over 58 million views on YouTube.com.

“Really wanted to come online & say congratulations to @iamcardib So awesome to see,” Iggy tweeted to Cardi on Wednesday.

Cardi, who got her start as an Instagram model-turned-reality TV star, was appreciative of the attention from the Aussie.

“Thank you soo much Gal …funny how I was listening to New Bitch 2 days ago,” she replied.

Azalea’s summer anthem, “Fancy” raced to the top of the charts in 2014 — thanks to promotion from rap mogul Tip “T.I.” Harris, who fronted as her mentor.

Cardi B also received praise from Canadian rap artist Drake, who told the young rapper he was proud of her after she performed at his OVO Fest in Canada earlier this month.

The 24-year-old Bronx native, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, celebrated her chart success by leasing a Bentley SUV and showing off the pricey vehicle on Instagram and Twitter on Wednesday.

It will be interesting to see if she can dump her “one-hit wonder” status and replicate her success on the chart — a feat that Iggy Azalea never accomplished.
