Kenneka Jenkins

Police investigators are reviewing a viral Facebook video for clues into the mysterious death of 19-year-old Kenneka Jenkins at a Rosemont hotel on Sunday.

Investigators are reviewing a Facebook video of a party Jenkins attended at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center late Friday night.

Police say Jenkins was drunk when she staggered into a walk-in freezer in the basement of the hotel early Saturday morning.

Police are sticking with the theory that Jenkins walked into the freezer and died. But her mother, Teresa Martin, suspects foul play.

Martin said she last saw her daughter around 11:30 p.m. Friday when Jenkins left their West Side home to go bowling. Martin handed her responsible daughter the keys to her car.

The car was returned the next day by Jenkins’ best friend Monifah Shelton, who told Martin she didn’t know where Jenkins was.

Martin and family members repeatedly contacted the hotel and police after Jenkins went missing on Saturday.

Jenkins’s body was discovered inside the freezer nearly 24 hours after she was reported missing.

Martin said Jenkins was too drunk to open the heavy freezer doors by herself.
