Ralo and Gucci Mane

Rapper Ralo has been released from jail, one day after a massive early morning raid on his Southwest Atlanta apartment complex on Wednesday. The 23-year-old Atlanta native, pictured left with rap boss Gucci Mane, was arrested Sunday at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, where police found large quantities of marijuana.

Ralo, who is signed to Gucci's label, was held without bond until his release on Thursday. According to a document obtained by DJ Von TV, the drug conspiracy charges were dropped.

Sources tell the feds were looking for over $2 million in cash stashed inside the apartments. It isn't clear if the cash was found.

But rappers are known to pose for Selfies with fake prop movie money.

Dozens of local and federal agents descended upon the quiet, unassuming apartment block around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Sources in the neighborhood tell WSB-TV's Matt Johnson that they were awakened to the sounds of sirens, doors being kicked in and choppers flying overhead.

“It scared me. I jumped up and looked out the window and seen police everywhere,” neighbor Tony Daniels told Johnson. “There were sirens going on, helicopters flying and doors kicking in."

One neighbor spoke kindly of Ralo, who helped organize activities for the children in the complex known as "Lil Pakistan".

“He’s not what people think he is. He's a good person,” Haroun Wakil said. "The people in the community love him. I’ve seen people change their lives just because of him,” said Wakil, who often worked with Ralo to organize community events.

Wakil added, "I want to see him get out because I love the man."

Ralo told VladTV he owned 26 apartment units and 5 houses in the Southwest Atlanta neighborhood. He said he felt safer living in the gated apartment complex with armed security who are licensed to carry weapons.

"Everything's legit. I got me a little Army base and I'm the general," Ralo said.

I kinda hinted at this earlier. If he a criminal lock his ass up. But to be carrying this man religious flag out his residence and etc is uncalled for and sideline pissed me off. I kinda just knew this was gonna be the result.

  • Kemi

  • Rayne

Damn Gucci looks like teddy P. ?YEAH,YES!?

  • Sid

This is a bust to try and take some of the money he has in the home. Once the dirty cops get it he cant get it back. I hope he didn’t have it there. If you flaunt on social media like you have thousands in your place. They wanted a piece and raided him. It’s pretty simple

  • Cricket404

My daughter's primary school is on Lucille, it was all the children talked about all looked like they were looking for a terrorist.

  • the guest

What is amazing is that these young black are making real money in America. It’s not easy for black people to overcome adversity and oppression to make real money in America, legally or illegally.

Law enforcement doesn’t care about law, they care about destroying any means and any form of black wealth. (Law abiding rich blacks are not exempt from being targeted either)

I just wish they knew when to stop, reign in the hustle, legitimize, and invest for the long haul.

  • Quitedeliteful

I wonder if this incident will be enough to get him out of the hood and away from social media with those stupid money pics...

  • n1kk1a

I though that was Kevin Hart....?????

  • Guess Who

  • Guess Who

Gucci should have been on an episode of The Swan. He looks VASTLY different.

    That's all I got....

  • justlooking

Yes, a terrorist is correct. That's what they consider black men. but not white men walking down the street with guns.

  • Lucky8

All that production for weed, which is legal in some states sad

  • Lucky8

    Like Jay z

  • T865!

He better check his surroundings... looks like somebody tried to drop a dime on him..

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

Well if he owns 5 houses and 26 apartment units I gotta give him props for that. A lot of these rappers don't invest in assets at all, and just spend most of their money on cars and jewelry.

  • DeJeri

Exactly. I used to think he was so funny looking. I actually think he's attractive now.

  • kekeb

He be coonin but I love him, and he genuinely cares about poor people. I hope he doesn't go to prison

  • kekeb

Yeah he really loves the hood and cares about poor people.

  • kekeb

Sidenote: I NEVER thought I would say this, but GUCCI IS SEXY!!!!!

  • imright

    log off

  • Ms.Devereaux

SOOOOOOO what was he charged with? And it sounds like they didn’t find anything in the home so all that for nothing ? They targeted him

  • Sally Wright McLinn

All I can say is this: He better have an accountant, an attorney, and a security guard. He's going to need all of it to stay out of trouble.

  • Kayke

They're going for a tax evasion charge....he better stop showing all his money.

  • chris

If he out that mean they found some bread

  • chris

He drop the dime on himself u see that pic

  • Allihave2say

That's why these brothas need to make moves in silence. He's doing right by way of earning but is a fool with money. There's no need to flash the money on SM. Everyone doesn't need to know your wealth.

  • Allihave2say

My money would have been in plastic bags hidden in the …. of the house. Go in there if you want to… not responsible.

  • The Chosen One

Ralo looks a baby Floyd Mayweather.

ATLANTA - Federal documents obtained by FOX 5 News the day after a raid on an Atlanta apartment owned by Terrell Davis, also known by his rapper name Ralo, gives a better understanding for what agents were searching.

In an affidavit filed to the U.S. District Court allege that in addition to Davis being a hip-hop music artist, he is also the leader of a criminal street gang called "Famerica" who federal agents said is responsible for smuggling a little less than $2 million worth of marijuana from California to Georgia. The "Famgoon," as federal documents suggest the gang refers to themselves, made at least two known cross-country run using charters flights.

The first delivery returned to Fulton County Airport around 5 a.m. on December 22, according to the affidavit. A surveillance team set up by the Georgia State Patrol, ATL, and FBI spotted Davis and others transferring 37 packages wrapped in white holiday paper from the jet to a van registered to Davis, according to documents. The van was stopped shortly after leaving the airport. Officials said they seized 520 pounds of marijuana worth about $1 million on the street, according to documents. Kevin "K" Harp and two other unnamed people were arrested, all wearing "Famerica" and "Famgoon" clothing, according to officials. Agents said they also recovered identification documents for Davis in the van.

The next day, federal agents noted Davis posted on his Instagram: "I've lost more than a man have gained in a lifetime...Have you ever lost ah million dollars at one time???" Pictures also on that same account showed Davis

This past weekend, federal agents said they were tipped off that the "Famgoon" was making another run. The flight was originally scheduled to land at Cobb County International Airport but was changed mid-flight to Peachtree-DeKalb Airport, according to federal documents. State and federal agents moved in once the plane landed around 5 a.m. Sunday. State and federal agents seized 444 pounds of marijuana worth about $840,000 on the street and arrested nine people, according to the affidavit.

Agents said they arrested Davis along with Williams "Chaos" Rhodes, Brenton "OG" Mitchell, Antoine "Shonuff" Morrison, Quintavis "Drakko" Scott, Bilal Muhummad, Michael "Cutt" Hunnicutt, Christian "K" Harp, and Shanquita Potts.

Wednesday, state and federal agents raided an apartment complex on Lucile Avenue who friends of Davis said he bought a little more than a year ago to give his friends a place to stay. Investigators have not yet released what was found inside the complex.

Davis and the other eight suspects remained in the DeKalb County Jail Thursday.

  • Elle V

True statement! But if there's rampant crime then it devalues the property..low property value equates to sub-par school systems which equals under-educated folk and the cycle never ends. I do agree that he's done alot better than most rappers tho.

  • Elle V
