When a College Park SWAT team raided a drug den on Godby Road in South Fulton County on Monday, they found 2 suspected drug dealers, a stash of marijuana with a street value of $30,000, and an off-duty police officer who was apparently hanging out with the suspects.
Police raided an apartment in the Alexandria Landing complex looking for suspects Jeremy Laye and Tony Robinson. They found Laye and Robinson in the apartment along with Atlanta PD Officer Iris Rowe.
Officers discovered that Rowe was a cop when they found her police uniforms and department issued gear inside the apartment, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Investigators are trying to figure out how involved Rowe was in the drug operation.
Police had the apartment under surveillance for months. They suspected the two men were selling drugs out of the apartment.
In addition to recovering 7 pounds of marijuana, officers found an assault rifle with high capacity magazines, a semi-automatic pistol, about $7,800 in cash, and an assortment of pills inside the apartment.
Rowe faces the same three drug charges as the two men she was with.
The Atlanta Police Department placed Rowe on leave pending an investigation.
