Justin Bieber and his girlfriend of a few months, Hailey Baldwin, tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony in Manhattan last week. According to sources close to the couple, no prenup was hammered out before the couple said “I do.”
Bieber has the most to lose in the quickie wedding: the 24-year-old pop idol amassed over $85 million in music royalties and other business interests in 2017 alone. His new wife took in a modest $2 million in modeling and TV hosting fees in 2017.
Baldwin, the 21-year-old daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, will make off like a bandit if this marriage ends in a year, as the Las Vegas bookies predict it will.
With no prenup in hand, Bieber stands to lose half of his fortune to a women he barely started dating just a few months ago — after he was dumped by on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez over the summer.
Baldwin initially denied marrying Bieber in a now-deleted tweet on Friday, but sources confirm the couple did tie the knot after being betrothed for just 2 months.
“They got legally married, but she believes marriage between God is the real thing,” the source told Us Weekly.
A religious source confirmed the couple will hold a traditional wedding for family and friends soon.
Baldwin’s mother, Kennya Deodato is ecstatic over the nuptial news. She tweeted “Love wins” on Saturday, while Bieber’s mom, Pattie Mallette tweeted “Love is unconditional” in a post on Sunday, reading “Haters gonna hate.”
Bieber reportedly proposed to Baldwin on July 7 — one month after they hooked up.
According to Us Weekly, the couple also dated sporadically between 2015 and 2016.
