Erykah Badu, who is wise beyond her years, cautioned social media users not to rush to judgment before hearing the facts in Jussie Smollet‘s alleged racial and homophobic attack.
Smollett, 36, claimed two masked men beat him up, tied a “noose” around his neck and threw bleach in his face before fleeing on foot.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2 a.m. near Smollet’s downtown Chicago apartment on Tuesday. Smollett still had the thin rope looped around his neck when police arrived at his friend’s apartment at 2:45 a.m.
Twitter users expressed their outrage when the news broke on Tuesday. As usual, liberals went off the rails, calling for action before waiting for the facts. Investigators are skeptical of the details given by Smollett.
In carefully worded tweets on Wednesday, Badu, 47, cautioned her followers to wait to hear all the facts before rushing to judgment, like they did when she and “Surviving R. Kelly” producer dream hampton Twitter war last week.
“Are y’all sure you know the facts before we [tear] sh*t up? Cause just last week ..every headline written about me was all out of context and manipulated to trigger YOUR outrage,” she tweeted.
According to Rhymeswithsnitch.com, Erykah also addressed concerns from her followers who accused the singer of diminishing the alleged homophobic #MAGA attack on Smollett.
