The Easter bunny who went viral for fighting on Easter Sunday is wanted in at least 2 states and has a history of armed robbery and other violent crimes.
Antoine McDonald gained national fame as the man inside the giant Easter bunny costume who defended a woman being attacked by a drunkard in Orlando.
McDonald, 20, is seen in viral video landing furry blows on a drunk man who was assaulted a woman outside a bar on Easter Sunday.
After the video went viral, McDonald contacted TMZ and spoke with other news media outlets.
“I saw him spit on her and then I saw, you know like a fight break out,” he told TMZ. “I just ran over there.” Orlando police quickly broke up the melee.
But after McDonald’s face was broadcast on the local news, police in Florida recognized him as a “person of interest” in a carjacking and two armed robberies in Pasco County, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
McDonald is also a suspect in crimes in 2 other states.
According to police in Dover, Delaware, McDonald was charged with two counts of robbery, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and tampering with physical evidence.
McDonald is also a wanted man in Brunswick, NJ. Cops there say McDonald and an accomplice were caught on surveillance cameras breaking into a car. After a warrant was issued for his arrest McDonald fled the state.
