How would you react if you met your idol for the first time? You would probably freak out like Janelle Monaé did when she met her idol Janet Jackson for the first time.
Janelle, 33, shared a video of herself preparing to meet the 53-year-old music icon at her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony in March.
In the video, Janelle, who is dressed as Janet from her Rhythm Nation era, begs her entourage to tell her what to say to Miss Jackson.
She nervously practices her greeting in a mirror.
“Oh my gosh! Okay, what am I gonna say? You know what? Don’t talk a lot, but make the words count. I’m just gonna be like [looks at herself in a mirror], I love you. You changed my life forever… I don’t know what the f*ck I’ma say!”
