Former special prosecutor Robert Mueller is on the hot seat as he testifies live before before two House committees. The start of Mueller’s testimony was delayed until today, July 24, as the White House made an 11th hour attempt to limit the scope of Mueller’s testimony.

The Democrats subpoenaed Mueller to testify before the House Judiciary Committee after he turned in his much-anticipated report that found no evidence of Russian collusion.

Although the report did suggest President Donald Trump may have obstructed justice by firing ex-FBI director James Comey.

The Democrats seized upon that as evidence to push for impeaching Trump on the basis that he obstructed justice by telling someone to fire Mueller before he completed his investigation.

Republicans worked hard to discredit any testimony given by Mueller before he was even sworn in. Slate.com called the entire proceeding “a game of chicken between, er, chickens.”

In a new poll, 50% of Americans say they just don’t care about the Mueller report or the allegations of Russian collusion. Their main concern is which Democrat is strong enough to take down Trump in the upcoming 2020 presidential election.
