Justin Bieber is a believer in Kanye West’s “Sunday Service” revival-style gospel experience. The 25-year-old pop idol has expressed an interest in performing at Pastor Kanye’s weekly Sunday Service gospel gatherings.
Kanye’s Sunday Service revival started out as private worship gatherings for his A-list friends in a field near his mansion in Calabasas, CA. His wife Kim Kardashian-West is usually by his side at the religious gatherings. She said the invite-only service isn’t restricted to Christians.
“All my Jewish friends came on Sunday; they loved it. Everyone that comes understand it’s just a really healing experience with an amazing choir, and amazing messages about love to start off your week,” she said.
Justin, who recently opened up about his battle with mental illness, wants to share the gospel revival experience with Kanye and his flock.
The born again Christian told TMZ he’d like to perform for the unwashed masses at Kanye’s gospel events.
Last month, Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber enjoyed an “amazing” weekend at a Los Angeles church conference.
“My whole message at church the other day was there’s power in your weakness,” Justin told TMZ.
“There are so many people in this world that are struggling, but when you step out… there’s just power in weakness,” he explained. “When you fight through that sense, usually you get to the other side and it gets better.”
Later that evening, the singer took to Instagram to share a clip of his performance at his local church. “Sang at church last night,” he wrote in the caption. “God is pulling me through a hard season. Having trust in Jesus at your worst times is the absolute hardest. But he is faithful to complete what he started.”
